The Role

The Director of Hardware Product Management will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and success of our hardware product portfolio. This individual will be responsible for leading a team of product managers, defining and executing product strategies, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional hardware products that meet customer needs and drive company growth.

What you'll do:

  • Product Strategy and Vision: Define the long-term vision and strategic direction for the hardware product portfolio, ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to end-of-life, to ensure product success and growth.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to identify market trends, opportunities, and potential areas for product improvement.
  • Product Roadmaps: Develop and communicate clear and actionable product roadmaps that align with the company's business objectives and technological capabilities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, design, manufacturing, marketing, and sales teams to drive product development, ensuring products meet quality, time-to-market, and financial targets.
  • Product Positioning and Pricing: Define the positioning of products in the market and develop pricing strategies that maximize profitability and market share.
  • Product Launch and Go-to-Market: Plan and execute successful product launches, including marketing strategies, sales enablement, and customer engagement.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues related to product development and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful product launches.
  • Performance Analysis: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success, regularly analyze performance, and make data-driven decisions for product improvements.

Skills to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field
  • Proven experience in hardware product management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
  • Strong understanding of hardware technologies and trends
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive product success in a dynamic and competitive market
  • Proficiency in project management and product management software
  • Strategic mindset and the ability to make informed decisions in a rapidly evolving industry

Pay Equity

Moxion is committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for substantially similar work. Compensation displayed is a range. Maximum amounts are reserved for those candidates that exceed all experience and background requirements. We reserve the right to offer compensation based on level of experience. Moxion has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay within the San Francisco Bay area. If you live outside that region, the range is subject to change. 

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within the range provided above. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
