As the Director of HR, you will partner with with Director of Talent Acquisition and Chief Legal & People Officer to accomplish many complex and strategic HR initiatives. You will help support our team through its growth and create an environment where employees of all backgrounds can thrive. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building a world class organization and led teams through periods of hyper growth. This role requires an outstanding understanding of people strategy while marrying talent with operational goals on a day to day basis.
Your responsibilities:
Partner with Director of Talent Acquisition and Chief Legal & People Officer to accomplish:
Onboarding
Design and implement a smooth onboarding process to ensure new hires ramp quickly and effectively.
Design and implement a regular re-onboarding process to ensure existing employees are continuously up to date on key company initiatives.
Employee Engagement and Retention
Design and implement creative programs and initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
Conduct regular employee surveys and analyze feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement actionable strategies.
Partner with the leadership team to design and implement programs and initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive work environment that aligns with the company's core values: Team Supreme, Empower Creators, Be Scientific, Prioritize Impact, Undertalk/Overexecute, FlowMode.
Employer Branding
Develop and execute an employer branding strategy to position Flowcode as an employer of choice in the technology industry, including through the use of social media channels, professional networks, events and other channels that provide the opportunity to promote Flowcode’s unique culture and professional development opportunities.
HR Operations and Compliance
Partner with legal to ensure compliance with relevant employment/labor laws and regulations.
Develop, maintain and improve Flowcode HR processes and policies, including employee handbooks, and onboarding and offboarding procedures.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition, retention and management, recommending and implementing improvements as appropriate in partnership with the leadership team.
Performance Management and Employee Development
Support, and design and implement improvements to, the existing performance management system at Flowcode, including through employee goal setting, regular feedback and check-ins, and 360 performance evaluations.
Work with managers to identify skill gaps and create targeted development plans for individual team members.
Support the creation of a learning and development framework to nurture talent and promote continuous growth within the company.
HR Metrics and Reporting
Establish key metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives, including with respect to hiring, employee onboarding, retention/attrition, employee engagement and satisfaction.
Establish a regular cadence for reporting on key metrics to the leadership team.
Develop/design and execute in partnership with the leadership team strategic initiatives based on key HR metrics to help drive growth / scale for the business.
Your skills and experience:
- 8-10 + years of people operations experience, 5+ years at high growth company preferred
- Demonstrated experience building, motivating, and growing a high performing teams
- Strong track record of bridging strategy into day to day operations and execution
- Ability to manage complex HR programs including policy design and implementation
- Significant experience with HRIS and ATS platforms for operational workflow
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with colleagues from executives to individual contributors while setting the tone for the team

A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in New York.
The current range for this role is $150 - $180K + Bonus + equity + benefits.

Please note that this role is based in NYC (Soho) and will be a minimum of 4 days a week in the office
