Position Title: DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES

Position Type: Salaried (exempt)

Reports to: Executive Vice President

Position Summary:

The Human Resources Director is a strategic business partner to the executive and leadership team responsible for leading and directing organizational development and talent management. The Human Resources Director will manage both the day-to-day operational and compliance needs and design/execute strategic efforts to ensure growth and development of both company and culture. The Human Resources Director will also lead activities related to performance management, compensation planning, policy and program development, employee relations, safety, and enterprise benefits and procedures.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Consult and partner with executive leadership and business leaders to provide HR guidance on organizational design and development, coaching and development, talent acquisition, talent management, total rewards, employee relations, company culture and policy administration.
  2. Ensure compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements. Partner with Raymond and Toyota Corporations to ensure internal compliance with all policies and standards.
  3. Manage and maintain compliance with Affirmative Action plans.

  1. Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategy across all Associate and Compliance matters.
  2. Provide overall leadership and management of the Human Resources team.

  1. Practice continuous improvement by recommending new approaches, policies and procedures to improve the efficiency of the Human Resources department and its interactions with Associates and Leadership.
  2. Lead and partner with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Service, Systems, IT, Continuous Improvement, Marketing, and Learning and Development as it relates to company-wide projects and best practices.

  1. Manage all aspects of recruitment: job postings, interviews, offer letters, background reports, and compliance.
  2. Lead onboarding, engagement, and retention efforts and processes across the company.
  3. Provide direct guidance and assistance to all Associates with resolution of human resource, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues. Consult with legal counsel as appropriate on personnel matters.
  4. Prepare and maintain Associate Handbook, Job Descriptions, Performance Reviews, as well a other administrative documents.
  5. Prepare, analyze, and deliver reporting as required.
  6. Administer payroll process for all Associates.
  7. Partner with corporate HR liaisons to administer and manage company benefit plans, to include: insurance, 401-k, open enrollments, as well as other benefits such as EAP.
  8. Provide overall leadership and execution of the company Safety programs. Oversee safety policies and procedures, training, compliance, worker's compensation, including filing and monitoring claims, and yearly OSHA reports.
  9. Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization's compliance including Federal, State and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
  10. Various additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Technical Skills Required:

  1. Demonstrated ability to partner, collaborate, and communicate with business leaders and employees to effectively drive change and achieve business goals.
  2. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
  3. Ability to thrive in a rapid-paced and dynamic business environment.
  4. Proficiency with collaboration and analytical tools found within Microsoft Office 365 as well as other modern platforms.
  5. Proficiency with ADP human resources management software preferred

Education Required:

Bachelor's degree, ideally in Human Resources, Business or related field, as well as SPHR, SHRM-SCP or other relevant professional certification. Master's degree preferred.

Experience Required:

  1. General background in employment, compensation, safety, organizational planning, employee relations and learning and development.
  2. Experience with larger complex organizations with multiple locations preferred.
