Director of Human Resources
Job Description
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for developing and executing a human resource strategy in alignment with the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation. You will be responsible for providing HR leadership and managing a team of geographically disbursed HR Business Partners, HR Specialists, and Recruiters.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to acquiring and retaining great talent.
- Drive HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the company’s mission and strategic vision.
- Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior management of each business unit regarding key organizational and management issues.
- Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of the company.
- Function as a fiduciary member for the Company’s 401(k) plan.
- Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost effective.
- Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation and benefits globally.
- Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, trainings, and initiatives to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Oversee the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and innovative technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.

- Knowledge of and experience with various HRIS and talent management systems. Experience with Namely and/or Greenhouse preferred, but not necessary.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA or MA/MS in Human Resources Management preferred.
- At least five years of human resource management experience required.
- HRCI and /or SHRM-SCP or SPHR certifications strongly preferred.
