PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as liaison between business and HR by providing day to day guidance and education on key initiatives such as pay and incentive programs, retention strategies, talent management processes, recruiting, etc.
  • Identifies strategies to increase productivity, employee performance, employee satisfaction and tracks the effectiveness of these initiatives.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Identifies training needs. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met. Facilitates leadership training programs.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of team members, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with legal resources as required.
  • Provides leaders with human capital management information from HRIS and assists them with using this information to drive effective decisions.
  • Analyzes people related metrics, trends and root cause to develop solutions that balance HR risks and cost management for the organization.
  • Assist with managing the Visa process and provide guidance to managers and employees as needed on Visa processes when applicable.
  • Oversee the preparation and submit organization's Affirmative Action Plan and EEO Report

EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or business-related field
  • 10+ years experience in HR generalist role supporting multiple locations
  • Strong working knowledge of state and federal labor/wage and hour laws
  • Up to 40% travel required

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Functional Subject Matter Expert - proven strong foundation and knowledge of principles & practice of HR including employment law & compliance requirements.
  • Highly approachable with developed organizational agility and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated history of quickly gaining credibility, building trust and partnering with business leaders
  • Ability to navigate complex and ambiguous situations with confidence and resilience
  • Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to relate messages to all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrate a clear skill for forward-thinking, always anticipating and planning for possible future outcomes.
  • Solid project management skills
