Labcorp is currently in the process of spinning-off its Drug Development business, and is offering a key position for a Director of Identity & Access Management (IAM). This role is an integral part of the Information Security, Risk & Compliance leadership team and is responsible for the global strategy and operational management of IAM processes and tools. The Director of IAM is also responsible for developing and maintaining the IAM framework, standards, and process documentation.

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate must possess strong leadership skills, be an effective collaborator, have in-depth knowledge of IAM technologies, and have experience leading a global team to achieve regulatory compliance in a regulated business environment. As the process owner for all IAM activities, the Director of IAM is responsible for integrating critical business applications and platforms into the company's IAM framework. They must possess a thorough understanding of the business environment and proactively maintain the IAM systems to ensure they operate efficiently and securely.

Primary Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Lead the development and execution of architecture and engineering roadmaps for IAM services globally and drive efforts to validate that strategic direction is aligned with business objectives.
  • Work with business partners and development teams to design, integrate, test, and deploy IAM solutions for strategic initiatives. This includes system-level architecture and design, business process engineering, risk assessments and definition of technical security controls necessary to achieve business requirements.
  • Define formal IAM and enterprise directory standards and procedures consistent with corporate security policy, legal, and regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Actively participate in key IT Governance teams representing IAM interests (e.g., architecture, risk management, policy compliance, etc.)
  • Collaborate with executive management and department leaders to assess near- and long-term IAM needs.
  • Research and recommend emerging IAM technologies/tools to address current and future needs.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with key vendors and ensure that all technology and services roadmaps are understood and leveraged where applicable
  • Effectively communicate the feasibility of requested deliverables and timelines to internal business and project stakeholders
  • Serve as subject matter expert to internal business and IT partners

Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in information security and/or identity and access management.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with talent management.
  • Proven experience and success with current and emerging IAM technologies including automated provisioning/de-provisioning, SSO, identity federation, multifactor authentication, role/policy-based access, virtual directories, privileged management, etc.
  • Proven experience and success with managing IAM product deployments.
  • Proven experience with enterprise directory architecture and design best practices.
  • Familiarity with federated identity and web services security concepts such as SAML, Liberty ID-FF and ID-WSF, WS-Federation, OpenID, OAuth and WS-Security.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills, specifically managing multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed professional, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong customer service and solution-focused orientation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • CISSP certification desired.
