What You Will Do

We are looking for an accomplished leader to oversee process optimization in designing, building, and delivering world-changing laboratory automation systems. 

Responsibilities
  • Guide team’s direction and structure
    • Keeps visibility into company growth and pipeline to determines the team’s structure and scaling path
    • Oversees team hiring and on-boarding efforts
  • Defines OKRs, KPIs, and goals for the overall team and its members
  • Ensures alignment of development projects per requirements defined by commercial team, product owners, and
  • Determines team and project budget based on team scale, growth projections, and project and product priorities.
  • Ensures processes, documentation, and training materials are thorough, accessible, and continuously improved upon.
  • Ensures high quality standards of engineering projects and products are maintained
  • Leverages technical expertise to provide guidance on engineering projects, products, best practices, and methodology for establishment of priorities to ensure high quality and streamlined integrated solutions.
  • Review and Understand Statements of Work for Projects which include Hardware, Software, and Workflow requirements necessary to deliver a successful integrated solution.
  • Management of Integrate Solutions Team which consists of setting strategy and day-to-day activities of Design Engineers, Automation Engineers, Assemblers, and Applications Specialists via Team Leaders and Managers located both at HQ and Remote.
  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time as needed.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in automation, robotics, project engineering, or comparable (with experiences in both industrial and laboratory automation being a significant advantage)
  • At least 5 years of experience managing and leading a team
  • At least 7 years’ experience in team management, production, automation, project engineering, or comparable
  • Experience with CAD Software, hand-tools, machining, or workcell assembly is preferred
Educational Requirements
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in Bio-Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable field
Training, Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications
  • Project Management skills or certifications, preferred
  • Experience with regulatory compliance requirements, preferred (ISO Standards, etc.)
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills and communicate effectively with team members and customers
  • Ability to write professional technical reports and procedures
  • Has demonstrated high level of accountability, responsibility, and technical competence
  • Must be task focused and have a results-oriented attitude and approach to the job responsibilities
  • History of demonstrated success in managing a technical team.
  • Proficient with CAD Software such as SolidWorks, Auto-Cad, or equivalent.
Benefits

The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000.
