Director of Internal Communications

The Role

Schonfeld Strategic Advisors is seeking a Director of Internal Communications to join its Global Communications team. This individual will develop and implement internal communications and employee engagement strategies that elevate the firm’s culture. Reporting to the Global Head of Communications, the candidate will provide strategic communications counsel and support to senior leaders and department heads. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a can-do attitude, has excellent writing and editing skills, and who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.           

This position can be based in our New York or Miami, FL office.                                                                                                                                                                                                      

What you’ll do 

Responsibilities will include:

• Writing and editing internal announcements and leadership messages
• Crafting compelling content strategies across all internal communications channels (intranet, global town halls, podcasts, videos, newsletters, email announcements)
• In partnership with Human Capital Management, implementing major internal initiatives and engagement activities
• Managing Schonfeld’s intranet (Sharepoint) and email tools (Staffbase), as well as channel strategy and processes
• Supporting the DEI alliance by crafting compelling communications that engage our people
• Managing projects and calendars across internal communications
• Supporting communications content and planning during complex, ambiguous, and fast-moving situations
• Tracking and measuring progress in employee engagement with content / executions against tangible KPIs
• Developing and managing tools for measurement and analysis

What you’ll bring

• A passion for storytelling with 5+ years of experience in communications, employee experience, program management, or similar area of expertise
• High levels of business acumen, critical thinking, creativity, and effectiveness, delivering measurable outcomes
• Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills
• Experience building relationships with diverse stakeholders and company leaders
• Experience managing programs, events, and organizational changes
• Experience with CommsTech – Sharepoint, Staffbase, etc.
• Eagerness and aptitude to learn and explain broad subject matter quickly
• Expertise with information and collaboration apps
• Track record of cultivating community in work, school or volunteer settings

Schonfeld Strategic Advisors is a multi-manager platform that invests its capital with Internal and Partner portfolio managers, primarily on an exclusive or semi-exclusive basis, across four trading strategies; quantitative, fundamental equity, tactical trading and discretionary macro & fixed income. We have created a unique structure to provide global portfolio managers with autonomy, flexibility and support to best enable them to maximize the value of their businesses.

Over the last 30 years, Schonfeld has successfully capitalized on inefficiencies and opportunities within the markets.
