As the Director, IT, you are the face of Information Technology (IT) that serve’s League’s employees and provides easy-to-use, secure, scalable, and reliable technology solutions to support League’s continued growth. You not only have the technical expertise to take on and provide technical leadership to IT solutions, but also manage a team of IT Engineers and associated budgets, compliance, and security. You will build and maintain all existing platforms, skillfully manage project delivery, and communicate effectively to stakeholders. You bring an employee first mindset to new hires as they onboard, assist with the day to day needs of our current team to ensure an awesome employee experience as it relates to IT.


In this role, you will:

  • Provide strategic direction for the IT organization
  • Ensure projects are delivered with high quality with clear, timely communication to stakeholders
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure their requirements are being met.
  • Manage the IT Budget and work with Finance for forecasting
  • Assist new hires on the IT Team and ensure a smooth onboarding experience as they join League
  • Provide service to our team to ensure technology platforms, systems and equipment are working and being fully utilized effectively
  • Build, test & maintain office information technology infrastructure, including audio visual equipment and personal computers
  • Proactively make recommendations to improve existing processes and continue to make the internal IT service more employee-centric
  • Manage staff performing onboarding and offboarding for employee computer needs
  • Oversee team responding to employee requests through a ticket tracking system
  • Implement new features and core services in the League office infrastructure
  • Adhere to all system operation policies including but not limited to Access Control, Encryption Control, Logging, Change Management, Platform Security, System Configuration, Physical and Incident Management policies
  • Mentor and coach to increase engagement and maximize productivity of the team
  • Manage vendors and assess quotes
  • Oversee aspects of compliance with Information Security Policies
  • Implement systems for physical hardware security
  • Maintain company password access security through systems like Okta

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting organization with more than 500 employees
  • Hands on Experience with IT systems and infrastructure
  • Strong experience with MacOS and or Unix operating systems
  • Experience with Security and Compliance
  • Experience with hardware asset management
  • Experience with Google Workspaces or similar
  • Experience with operating and troubleshooting audio visual and video conferencing equipment
  • Experience managing local and remote personnel
  • Experience delivering superior customer service
  • A Customer service oriented mindset
  • An adaptable approach to new systems and technology
  • Organized and detail-oriented approach to work.
  • An individual who understands how their work fits into team and company objectives
  • One who is capable of good time management and prioritization
  • Able to communicate assumptions and get clarification on tasks up front in order to minimize the need for rework
  • Someone who solicits feedback from others, and gives timely, helpful feedback to peers and managers
