Director of Marketing (Brand & Communications)

The Director of Brand & Communications leads a strong team in evolving the firm's brand position and awareness within key markets. This role focuses on driving external and internal communications strategy and visual identity that connects the firm's culture, talent, and client voice.
As the Director of Brand & Communications, you will:
- Lead the creative services, employment brand, brand journalism, internal communications, and public relations teams globally
- Collaborate with the strategic practice and industry marketing and business development teams to develop brand and communications initiatives that capitalize on the firm's areas of focus and opportunities
- Utilize internal and external communication strategies to bring commercial awareness to our talent and practice and industry priorities with an understanding of market positioning
- Work closely with our public relations professionals to align our messaging to our strategic marketing and business development growth campaigns
- Evolve the internal communications strategy to focus on actionable insights to drive deeper engagement with the firm and our clients
- Engage with the creative and employee brand teams to further refine and evolve the brand and visual identity systems across content and digital assets, and in alignment with the firm's growth and cultural objectives
- Partner closely with our brand journalist and marketing teams to drive greater engagement through storytelling
- Develop, evaluate, and report on meaningful KPIs and ROI
- Lead and collaborate with the broader Marketing, Communications, Events, and Business Development teams to ensure a strong alignment with other ongoing efforts
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least ten (10) years of related work experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Extensive experience developing robust brand positioning, messaging, value proposition, and assets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Strong understanding of journalistic reporting principles, tactics, and requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work well independently and as a member of a team, and the ability to work comfortably with senior partners of the firm
- Strong organizational, leadership, and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
