Position Summary

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Marketing is responsible for setting the overall marketing vision, strategy, and priorities for the organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, and in partnership with the Business Unit Presidents, this role provides executive-level leadership, ensuring marketing initiatives align with corporate objectives, brand positioning, and growth strategy. The Director of Marketing oversees the Marketing Manager and is accountable for strategic planning, performance outcomes, resource allocation, and cross-functional alignment.
The Director of Marketing works in close partnership with the Director of Human Resources to develop and deliver clear, consistent and engaging internal communications that reinforce culture, support employee engagement, and align with organizational priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and own the company’s overall marketing strategy in alignment with business goals and CEO direction.
- Translate corporate objectives into clear marketing priorities, frameworks, and success metrics.
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the Marketing Manager, enabling strong execution across the team.
- Act as a senior advisor to the CEO on marketing, brand, and growth initiatives.
- Lead the development and oversight of the annual marketing plan.
- Ensure marketing efforts support revenue growth, customer engagement, and brand equity.
- Monitor budgets, resource allocation, and marketing ROI.
- Establish KPIs, reporting, and performance measurement frameworks.
- Champion brand consistency, messaging, and visual identity across all channels.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitive landscape, and evolving marketing best practices.
- Ensure the organization remains relevant, differentiated, and customer/member focused.
- Understands and ensures consistent compliance with company policy, procedures, and safe work practices.
- Oversee external agencies, partners, and vendors at a strategic level.
- Provide escalation support and decision-making for complex or high-impact initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
- Senior-level marketing leadership experience with proven strategic impact.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and business acumen.
- Experience managing leaders and developing high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in mentoring emerging talent to ensure strong succession readiness and leadership pipeline.
- Ability to balance long-term strategy with operational oversight.
- Advanced understanding of integrated marketing strategies across digital and traditional channels.
- Ability to lead through change and evolving business needs.
- Confident, decisive and collaborative leadership style.
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Consent to and pass a pre-employment drug test (Policy C-14 Substance and Alcohol Abuse Prevention).
- Consent to and pass a satisfactory (soft) Credit Record Check.
- Execution of a Non-Disclosure, Non-Use, and Non-Solicit Agreement.
