About the Role

Rokt is hiring a Director of Marketplace Analytics to join our Analytics team. We are a data driven company, and data is at the heart of all of our decision making. We are looking for someone who will help the business innovate and grow through comprehensive and actionable data driven insights. As a Director of Marketplace Analytics, you will hire and develop a team of Marketplace Analysts and Marketplace Analytics Managers in a player-coach capacity, be responsible for partnering with our GTM teams and using data to prioritize our GTM roadmap and measure the success of key initiatives. You will also work cross functionally across Engineering, Data Science, and the Product Analytics team to generate actionable insights and influence their roadmaps. You and your team will also be expected to own and develop new metrics, measurement frameworks, track performance, define success for various features and investigate changes in their KPIs. An ideal candidate will have experience managing a high performing Analytics team that develops scalable data products, produces accurate and statistically robust analyses, and communicates in a way that makes analyses and models easy to interpret by stakeholders and other analytics teams.

Requirements

  • Lead and grow a team of analysts responsible for extending thought partnership to GTM and Engineering teams through analyses, reporting, and modeling
  • Guide analysts and analytics managers on conducting quantitative analyses on partner, advertiser, and customer behavior to help GTM and Engineering refine their client strategy
  • Provide GTM and engineering teams with recommendations about our partners, advertisers, and end customers that help them achieve business outcomes through by unearthing actionable insights across our product suite
  • Drive data product development of dashboards, metrics, readouts, etc. at scale; democratize these data products across GTM and Engineering
  • Devise strategies to reduce tech debt holistically
  • Partner with Data Science to democratize the usage of models such as churn models across our GTM and Growth teams
  • Offer thought partnership to stakeholders by deconstructing problem statements into quantitative hypotheses and proposing associated analyses
  • Collaborate with the GTM team to set SMART goals for the organization and implement methods to track progress
  • Build a high performing organization that leans into the future skills of analytics capabilities and solutions; democratize data driven decision making across GTM and Engineering functions at Rokt
  • Develop and execute on team strategies and roadmaps; collaborate effectively with other Analytics leaders at Rokt to develop solutions that impact multiple stakeholder teams

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics or an equivalent quantitative field
  • 8+ years of experience in Analytics or Data Science
  • Experience building and leading a team of analysts/managers and fostering their career growth. 4+ years of experience managing Analytics teams
  • Experience with creating team strategy, roadmaps, and OKRs based on stakeholder needs
  • Deep SQL skills and proficiency in working with big data and ETL management
  • Expertise with a statistical language such as Python or R
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable structuring nebulous discussions
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally to create alignment between GTM, Engineering and Product teams and synthesize complex analyses to drive decision-making
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau and coaching analysts and managers on best visualization practices
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Team player who positively contributes to the culture of the Analytics team and Rokt

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics or an equivalent quantitative field
  • 10+ years of experience in Analytics or Data Science; 3+ years of experience analyzing ecommerce data
  • 5+ years of experience managing Analytics teams
  • Strong understanding of Analytical Engineering to handle big data
  • Ability to teach basic ML modeling to managers and analysts, and collaborate with Data Science on more complex ML models
  • Experience communicating results and business impact of analytical deep dives to senior leadership
