THE ROLE

Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Multifamily Operations will develop new systems and processes to establish a standardized approach to open and operate traditional unfurnished apartments. This position is the liaison between the owner(s), property management, and our corporate departments, including Asset Management, Sales, Operations, Accounting & Finance, and People. The Director of Multifamily Operations is a highly impactful position creating new processes and operations for all traditional unfurnished apartments in the portfolio. This position will be expected to travel to properties frequently, especially during the property onboarding process. 

AT MINT HOUSE YOU WILL
  • Develop systems and processes to establish a standardized approach (SOPs) to open new Mint House properties including internal processes, software selection, communication plan, budget, success metrics, reporting and dashboards
  • Liaise, manage, and negotiate service contracts, including bidding, awarding, and managing building contracts and ensuring that suppliers/service providers are meeting contractual obligations (i.e., HVAC, cleaning, landscaping, snow removal, pest control, critical systems maintenance, etc.)
  • Facilitate dialogue surrounding guest and resident issues, conflict resolution, and daily operations management
  • Regularly visits site offices, inspect building operations and review periodic reports from market managers to determine progress of occupancy and maintenance projects
  • Provide updates to leadership teams and ownership groups on accomplishments, status, issues, risk, and mitigation plans 
  • Own full operational set-up and maintenance coordination of Mint House properties according to brand and operational standards and guidelines in conjunction with the Expansion and Regional Director Operations 
  • Analyze monthly and quarterly performance along with budget projections; compare to management plan and budget; adjust strategies accordingly
  • Prepare and participate in unit and property inspections along with State/Investor Audits/reporting
 WE ARE LOOKING FOR 
  • 10-12 years of experience in property management/leasing/operations; Upscale / class A building preferred 
  • Previously managed a portfolio of multifamily properties composes of a minimum of  two properties simultaneously
  • Shown ability to move up / development in a leasing or property management environment and overseeing a team for maintenance, leasing, and operations associates 
  • Demonstrated experience directing clear coordination / communication 
  • Excellent presentation skills with real estate owners, external partners and internal teams 
  • Full working knowledge of various software, leasing management systems and PMS to build out new processes
  • Strong property management experience, and confidently be able to answer questions from residents and solve problems
  • Understand the value of collaborative communication and detailed project plans, and is comfortable with competing priorities
  • Results oriented, enjoy being hands on and exceptional balance to manage competing priorities

Compensation Range: $140,000 - $165,000 with full benefits

Mint Houses' compensation philosophy is driven by our company value of fostering inclusivity.
