Director of My Civic & Citizen Engagement
Job Description
The Director, My Civic & Citizen Engagement will lead all functional areas across the My Civic solution. This leader will pursue new opportunities for business growth, adopt measurable improvements within the organization, and promote a positive team culture. The Director, My Civic & Citizen Engagement will be seen as a thought leader and promoter across Tyler of expanding all citizen engagement software opportunities. The Director, My Civic & Citizen Engagement must be able to:
- Understand and communicate issues, ideas, and solutions at the highest levels, providing direction and solutions to address unique situations.
- Create and maintain relationships with key personnel across the entire Tyler Technologies organization.
- Collaborate across Tyler to effectively communicate issues, ideas, and solutions.
- Constantly be in a mode to recommend solutions.
- Complete tasks with no input or direction.
- Demonstrate excellent partnering, communicating, and negotiating skills.
- Maintain composure under pressure and accurately access and resolve problem situations.
- Work effectively in a fast paced, team based, customer service-oriented environment.
- Provide guidance and direction to the entire My Civic team.
- Exhibit highly efficient management of time, tasks, and priorities.
- Demonstrate an excellent work ethic and focus on work, tasks, and priorities.
- Manage multiple tasks at once while staying calm and on-pace.

- Proactively listen to client feedback and determine the best way to meet the requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Apply best practices while overseeing all aspects of the My Civic business, including sales and marketing, development, product strategy, professional services, and client support. Develop metrics to measure efficiency and boost performance, and regularly evaluate the success of initiatives.
- Drive key business initiatives with a measurable ROI and value to the market.
- Develop short and long-term strategic plans to drive future growth and improve competitive position. Creates an entrepreneurial culture and mindset.
- Product visionary, understanding market direction, product/client challenges and where My Civic needs to focus to drive growth and adoption.
- Leads the innovation and design of My Civic in line with a defined strategic roadmap.
- Actively engages clients to promote My Civic and understand client needs.
- Actively engages clients to promote additional citizen engagement opportunities.
- Establishes organizational alignment and buy-in of product strategy and vision.
- Actively seeks out and provides input regarding new partner relationships on whether to buy, sell, or partner on new features that augment the My Civic and Tyler portfolio.
- Collaboratively works with sales leadership to deepen market penetration and identify potential new markets. Assist in negotiating contracts.
- Leads and owns outcome of pricing strategies for My Civic.
- Creates a collaborative and focused team, mentor team members to boost engagement as well as their personal and career development.
- Coordinates across Tyler to align go-to-market strategies, product integrations and client experience with shared clients.
- Contributes to the advancement of the team environment through integrity, leadership, and continuous knowledge transfer.
- Mentors staff and team members, with a focus on professional growth, product ownership and leadership.
- Attend and participate in industry conferences to establish credibility and maintain knowledge of citizen engagement needs of our clients.
- Occasional travel required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Proven leader, ability to confidently make decisions while building a loyal team.
- Bachelor's degree required
- Management experience in a software company, with a proven record of success
- Diverse professional experience with roles held in sales, services and product management preferred.
- Experience cultivating and managing positive and successful client relationships
- Proven ability to drive results through influence and collaboration rather than through direct-line reporting relationships.
- Outstanding oral and written communication; ability to articulate complex challenges in simple methods.
- Ability to be effective in a challenging and demanding environment.
- Ability to travel (annual travel estimated at 25-50%).
