Director of Obesity Medicine - Professor/Associate Professor

• Develop Department of Obesity Medicine in Metamor Institute
• Recruit new Obesity Medicine faculty/staff
• Develop clinical pathways in Obesity Medicine
• Develop liaison with Metamor Institute and medical specialties including cardiology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, anesthesiology and hospital medicine
• Assess quality outcomes and patient satisfaction in Obesity Medicine
• Lead Obesity Medicine program development
• Develop an Obesity Medicine fellowship program
• Develop educational programs/curriculums for post grad physicians, fellows, residents, grad students medical students
• Assist in leadership of Metamor Institute as Associate Director of Metamor
• Assist Metamor Director in integrating efforts of medical, surgical, behavioral/psychologic, nutritional, and exercise physiology teams at BMI
• Work with the Metamor director on strategies for increasing the local, regional, and national reach of the clinic and its efforts on obesity treatment
• Develop a clinical/laboratory research program in Obesity Medicine to include but not limited to:
  • Clinical trails
  • RO1 equivalent grant funding
  • Laboratory effort- desirable but not required
• Collaborate with Pennington basic science and clinical Investigators
• Participate in leadership of State, National and International Professional Societies

• Previous leadership experience in hospital environment
• Accomplished record of publications
• Established record of grant funding: NIH, industry, other
• Established record of training/mentoring students, residents, fellows, graduate students, post-docs
