Director of Partnerships
Reports to: CEO Status: Full Time, Salaried
Job Purpose: As a mission-driven, Certified B Corp committed to Make Life Better, we are focused on becoming the standard for experiential learning. This role will manage, develop and advance Saxbys’ strategic growth plans through the expansion of our innovative Experiential Learning Platform (ELP).
Summary of duties and responsibilities:
- Expansion of the ELP:
- Develop, lead, and proliferate a high-performing Partnership Process
- Exhibit prowess in developing a thoughtful, data-driven, and effective process for Prospecting, Targeting and Qualifying
- Prioritize markets and prospective partners based on research insights, best practices, current partners, and program alignment
- Strategize the right entry points while identifying, connecting with, and building effective relationships with the right Champion(s) and decisions maker(s) at each institution
- Build upon the existing, effectively communicate and take ownership of the specific language used within the ELP Team to ensure efficiency, clarity, and productivity both inside and outside of Saxbys
- Understand the current partnership portfolio and extrapolate the necessary learnings to influence future processes and decisions
- Conduct research on and become a subject matter expert on both the higher education market and the competitive landscape
- Prospect, pitch, and attract new partnerships by creating and overseeing all partner presentations.
- Create and oversee the necessary tools to aid and support success
- Lead efforts to identify new partnerships with colleges and universities aligned with organizational and DEI-related goals and objectives
- Exhibit prowess in developing a thoughtful, data-driven, and effective process for Prospecting, Targeting and Qualifying
- Develop, lead, and proliferate a high-performing Partnership Process
- Evaluating, Negotiating and Finalizing Partnerships:
- Spearhead discussions, negotiation, and involvement of key stakeholders both within and outside of Saxbys for agreement on the Operating Affiliation Agreement (OAA)
- Support the Academic Platforms team on the completion of Academic Affiliation Agreements (AAA)
- Work efficiently with the leaders of several departments such as Executive, Finance and Design to facilitate the creation of Feasibility Studies to determine the viability of an Experiential Learning Saxbys within specific real estate
- Working alongside Saxbys legal counsel, be responsible for combining the OAA and AAA into a signed partnership agreement – known as the Experiential Learning and Operating Agreement (ELOA)
- Establish and lead the calls / meetings necessary with key stakeholders to ensure effective relationship building, efficiency to partnership and productive involvement of additional departments within Saxbys
- Stewardship and Expansion of Existing ELP Partnerships:
- Maintain high-performing relationships with current ELP partners, including but not limited to:
- Annual Impact Summaries
- Ensuring our higher education and dining service partners have knowledge of and passion for the student learning outcomes
- Interface with Student CEOs and Operations Team on any contract related inquiries
- Communicating with partners on behalf of Saxbys to ensure that all parties are satisfied with the status of partnership
- Pursue opportunities to scale our existing partnerships via additional real estate, wholesale coffee programs, etc.
- Become a respected and well-known advocate for the value of experiential-based learning and an asset to Higher Education leaders in their efforts of advancement
- Adeptly and passionately create Win-Win-Win partnerships that equally benefit student leaders, higher education institutions and Saxbys
- Work exceptionally and collaboratively with all other Saxbys departments, but primarily the Academic Platforms, Product & Marketing, Design and Operations teams to ensure the fluidity of strong and efficient partnerships

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of end-to-end sales-management process and outcome success
- Demonstrated success in managing teams and working with partners to achieve mutual success
- Experience managing large teams of people and generating alignment and collaboration with cross-functional team
- Significant understanding and comfort with data and how to use data to make informed business decisions
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Must be able to work independently and efficiently manage a team
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to analyze data and present key findings both verbally and in written form
- Confidence in dealing with people (internal and external) and resolving issues diplomatically
- Entrepreneurial spirit, high initiative, smart risk taker
- Travel is required
