What we're looking for

We have an immediate opening for a full time Director of Payments. This position will be our resident payments guru with industry experience in payment processing, payment analysis, risk management and mitigation, strategy, and more. This role will collaborate with various stakeholders to drive the business to provide a better payment experience to our customers while working towards reducing expenses. Through analysis and feedback, this person will help grow our internal payments platform and ensure all of our in house payment processing is optimized. This role will ensure the company's payment processing is on the cutting edge and maximizing all resources and tools available.

What you'll do

• Data analysis of payment related metrics including approval/decline rates, card issuer acceptance rates, chargebacks, etc
• Chargeback mitigation - action plans, 3rd party tool implementation
• Fraud mitigation by implementing best practices and tools
• Recommend tools needed to internal payment platforms to conform to latest technology and industry guidelines
• Relationship management with gateways, processors, merchant broker, and bank card issuers
• Overall payment strategy including global processing and general payment optimizations
• Risk/compliance management
• Currency strategy as it relates to customer pricing across global regions
• Lead payment project initiatives as related to best practices and strategy

Who you are

• 5+ years in merchant payment processing, either from a payment processor or client side
• Advanced experience with data analysis tools
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
• Previous experience with fraud, risk and/or chargeback mitigation
• Ability to strategize, communicate and prioritize tasks
• Experience with complex payment strategies including intelligent transaction routing
