Director of People

We are looking for a Director of People who will have a high accountability and will report directly to the CLO.  The goal is to promote the role of a strategic People Team and ensure the long-term success of both the U.S. People Team and the organization as a whole. 

NOTE:  Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employer sponsorship. Fundbox will not hire any applicants for this role who require employer sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa. 

• Provide leadership for the U.S. People Team, driving team and process excellence by developing strategies and solutions that are scalable, pragmatic, and appropriate for a growth environment. 
• Oversee, develop, recommend and implement strategic HR plans and policies covering all HR disciplines (recruitment, training, compensation, career development, HRIS, performance, benefits, etc.). 
• Partner with Finance to both develop and manage the human resources budget, headcount planning, etc..
• Develop strong relationships with business leaders (including C-suite) through clear communication, appropriate escalation of issues and proactive problem solving.
• Partner with internal and outside legal counsel to resolve complex employment related issues.
• Develop and retain high performing teams, including Talent Acquisition, HRBP & People Ops, Office Administration, etc..
• Analyze data and present results that tell a clear and compelling story.
• Create an inclusive culture that drives employee engagement and inspires team members to perform at their best.
• Maintain a highly visible profile to employees and maintain an open, sincere disposition for employee concerns and suggestions.

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant HR experience
• Minimum of 2 years of direct people management experience
• Excellent people management skills and demonstrated high emotional intelligence
• Flexible and agile approach to work; ability to adapt to ambiguity in a frequently changing, fast paced environment
• Extremely strong and detail-oriented written and verbal communication skills
• Interpersonal, relationship building, consulting, teamwork and leadership skills
• Proficiency with HR systems and applications
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions and change course of action quickly
• Minimum of undergraduate degree preferred
