Director of Performance
Job Description
As the Director of Performance, you are accountable for everything training-related. This involves a wide range of customer-facing and back-end processes. More specifically, you are accountable for the quality of the on-floor product, ensuring athletes are training consistently, and developing the performance specialists who report to you.
To deliver on this, you oversee all customer success processes, which include program writing, how we monitor the attendance and performance of athletes, the communication efforts that explicitly prove the value of our services, and how we solicit regular feedback from our clients.
While you understand that admin responsibilities come with the territory, the idea of sitting on your laptop in an office instead of working with athletes on the floor makes you squirm. As the "face" of BRX training, you spend most of your time on-floor, know every athlete, and are the beacon of high standards. You're completely intolerant of mediocre coaching and energy and don't hesitate to have difficult conversations with staff about effort that does not meet standards.
You pride yourself on having high "feel." With BRX, you know the difference between changes needed to keep it cutting edge and ego-feeding shiny object syndrome. You set the bar for personal growth (no one talks "cont ed" as much) and obsessively push the product forward.
On the operational side, as the two primary leaders of the facility, you will work closely with the Facility Director to coach and guide the performance specialists towards higher productivity through everything from assessment conversion to admin responsibilities to personal growth.
For more specific day-to-day responsibilities, please see the Director of Performance 4R Document.
