For almost 30 years, PSG has been relied upon as the leading data-driven, pharmacy benefit consulting firm in the country. This market-facing role will have responsibility for focused on supporting external clients and the internal PSG consulting team related to PBM pricing tactics and strategy. This role requires a deep understanding of the financial and economic aspects of the pharmacy benefits management market space. This individual will be responsible for ownership of pricing strategy services while providing consultative support for internal and external clients within PSG. The position will support PBM and health plan analytics and strategy such as; contract interpretation, pricing impact analyses, knowledge of pharmacy drug and health plan underwriting, addressing complex industry issues, and process improvement. S/he will establish and maintain relationships both internally and externally to ensure satisfaction of service delivery. S/he will foster constructive relationships based on clear, mutual expectations with management up to Executive level and all stakeholder groups. This role requires someone who has exceptional analytic skills, attention to detail, works well with others, and has subject matter expertise in PBM pricing. The Director of PBM Pricing Strategy is a client facing role and responsible for communicating complex analytical findings and conclusions.
Responsibilities Include:
• Partner with PSG consultants and clients to evaluate and identify cost and utilization trends related to PBM and health plan pricing strategies.
• Participate in client and industry discussions providing consultative insights regarding PBM pricing strategies and methodologies.
• Understand and interpret the financial components of PBM contracts
• Act as an owner of PBM pricing strategy at PSG. Staying informed to understand and interpret PBM marketplace strategies.
• Provide subject matter expertise for products, technology and analytics tools while providing thought leadership for expansion.
• Provide subject matter expertise during sales process and to marketing team
• Assist in advanced analytics support to clients and internal teams as needed
• Assist Senior Vice President in management of business needs
Required Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics/Informatics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance or health care related field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint (advanced knowledge in Excel a plus)
• Based understanding of SQL
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organization, resourceful, critical thinking, and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and quality
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and discipline to multitask and prioritize projects to meet scheduled deadlines.
• Professionally interact with a diverse group of stakeholders including executives, managers, clients, and subject matter experts.
• Ability to work creatively, both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to learn quickly and work on multiple projects simultaneously
• 7+ years of pharmacy data and underwriting experience (health plan a plus)
• 7+ years of experience and understanding of the PBM (pharmacy benefit management) and/or health plan industry
• Ability for some travel (10%)

The national average salary for this role is $150k-$180k in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
