Interim Director of Pharmacy Hospital-Based Role Location:Ridgecrest, CA Work Hours:Monday through Friday | 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Contract Length:Immediate Start through December 31st A leading acute care facility in Ridgecrest is looking for a seasonedDirector of Pharmacyto step into a key leadership role during a critical transitional period. This is a contract-based opportunity with full-time weekday hours andzero PIC or staffing responsibilities. If youre a licensed California pharmacist with a strong background in regulatory operations and pharmacy leadership, we want to hear from you. Why This Role? • Administrative and strategic leadership onlyno clinical or dispensing work • Stable weekday schedule (no weekends or call duties) • Opportunity to oversee and support a high-functioning pharmacy department without direct compounding or chemo services Department Overview: • Pharmacy operational hours:7:00 AM 10:00 PM daily • After-hours order entry handled remotely viaPipeline • Staffing includes: • 56 pharmacists • 67 technicians • Additional PRN support available • 340B programis active and managed by a specialized team Systems & Technology in Use: • Electronic Health Record (EHR):Paragon / Allscripts • Automation Platform:Pyxis • Working knowledge of 340B operations is preferred, but management responsibilities are delegated Qualifications: • Active and unrestrictedCalifornia Pharmacist license • Prior experience as ahospital Director of Pharmacyis required • Competency in the following areas: • Regulatory readiness and policy audits • Policy & procedure (P&P) creation, including crosswalks • Chargemaster updates and revenue compliance • Familiarity withBluesight, MERP, ASP, and P&T committee processes This is an excellent opportunity to lead without the burden of clinical shifts.
