COMPENSATION

$140K - $160K

THE ROLE

Our Director of Planning will fulfill a key role on the Supply Chain team taking on the responsibilities of ensuring supply of our finished goods to meet OLIPOP’s rapid growth sales plan. This role will work closely with production teams at our copackers to plan for ongoing fulfillment of our core products and new product launches. The Director of Planning will be able to quickly pivot with changes in strategy and changes in demand as well as communicate supply status reports to stakeholders in the organization.  In addition, the role will be responsible for working closely with Sales and Marketing to build a robust and thorough demand planning process that captures updated distribution, velocity, risks and opportunities to the plan.  Leading the S&OP process for the business is a critical part of the Director of Planning role and will require optimization and complete ownership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the development of overall operational strategy and effective implementation to support continued growth and expansion in partnership with VP of Supply Chain and other members of our Leadership Team.
  • Lead in delivering high-quality products through an external supply chain network that is both cost-effective, scalable, and flexible.
  • Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to planning.
  • Mentor and coach team members to high levels of performance to be accomplished in ways consistent with the mission and employee ethos at OLIPOP.

FG & Inventory Planning

  • Responsible for managing inventory levels and fill rates to meet Company objectives.
  • Develop and implement an effective planning process across finished goods.
  • Develop, implement & continuously improve the inventory strategy for all finished goods.
  • Identify projected constraints to the production process and optimize production efficiencies within those constraints.

Demand Planning

  • Create and manage the demand planning process, working with Sales and Marketing to ensure all inputs are layered in appropriately. 
  • Ensure that the different business channels, including DTC and B2B, are being accurately forecasted based on the unique variables of those channels. 
  • Build solid KPIs and forecast accuracy metrics that will continue to improve accuracy.  
  • Vet and implement a new demand planning tool to support the growth of the business.  

S&OP

  • Coordinate and facilitate the S&OP process including Demand and Supply Review meetings.
  • Partner with Sales and Finance to drive and optimize Sales & Operations Planning process, financial reporting and process optimizations.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive operations plans and programs, both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives of the Company.

 SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 8-12 years of Supply Chain experience in CPG related fields
  • Dynamic problem solver - comfortable challenging assumptions and offering solutions with incomplete information.
  • Highly organized with excellent follow-through
  • A thought leader with a proven track record leading others
  • Transparent, open communicator - great listener who can read between the lines
  • End to end Supply Chain experience 
  • Deep understanding of cost and productivity drivers, and managing the complete eco-system to deliver accurate production volume, cost structure and P&L, and be able to make decisions on trade-offs and priorities to deliver the goals
  • Functional strategy development and delivery experience; conversion of business insights/needs into Supply Chain strategy
  • Professional, mature individual who possesses strict ethical standards
  • Ability to think strategically and execute /problem solve tactical issues
  • Proven ability to develop strategic plans and manage implementation and execution, along with an ability to analyze data and identify root causes
  • Communication skills (present ideas effectively, actively listen and work across functional boundaries)
