The Role: The Director of Platform Development at RoofMarketplace is a senior leadership role within the Technology Department. A successful candidate will be responsible for managing our highly skilled Milwaukee-based software development team, in addition to any external resources. • Oversee all aspects of the software development process, including project planning, requirements gathering, design, development, quality assurance, deployment, and support. • Manage a rapidly growing software development team, including task delegation, leading meetings, and conducting performance evaluations. • Consult with executive leadership and the development team to ensure requirements are understood and met. • Respond to business needs by reprioritizing or reassigning tasks as required. • Mentor employees in their roles and identify growth opportunities within the company. • Follow new technologies and trends in software and identify those which may be advantageous to the team.

Qualifications • At least 5 years of experience in a software development management role • Attention to detail and focus on quality • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Skills & Knowledge • Deep understanding of software engineering best practices • Familiarity with managing a JVM ecosystem • Familiarity with Jira Software for planning and task tracking • Superior ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical associates clearly and precisely
