About the opportunity

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on, results-driven PR and Communications expert to work in an energetic environment with responsibilities that include leading PR and Analyst relations, as well as internal communications as we scale Veza. You will be reporting to our Chief Marketing Officer and you'll work alongside builders who have helped to shape the success of companies such as Google, Okta, Rubrik, AWS, VMware and more. 

You Will:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy to raise Veza’s profile as an industry-defining leader in the identity security space
• Own the partnership with our PR agency, managing key relationships with reporters, editors and analysts
• Write press releases, execute media pitches, and develop messaging points that clearly communicate Veza’s competitive differentiation and market position
• Work with the leadership team to craft our company narrative. Coordinate executive outreach and speaking opportunities to raise the profile of Veza and our senior leaders
• Provide coaching, media training, and support to senior leaders as they communicate Veza’s narrative
• Collaborate with product and marketing teams to execute impactful communication campaigns about new products and features
• Own and develop content for briefings and inquiries, providing scope and guidance to subject matter experts from around the company
• Manage internal communications including company-wide announcements and our monthly All Hands meetings
• Sustain a cadence of communication on activity metrics and output KPIs, including coverage and share of voice
  
  

You Have

• Education:
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience required
• Experience:
  • 7+ years of communications management experience, preferably at a high-growth tech startup 
  • Experience managing and leading internal and external communication activities
  • Experience developing and executing a successful analyst strategy and narrative (e.g. influencing a new category with Gartner, Forrester, IDC, 451)
  • Experience building and managing a communications team
• Skills:
  • High level of attention to detail, aptitude for planning/executing deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

At Veza, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected pay range can be discussed with your recruiter for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for equity and a competitive benefits package.
