Director of Product

The Role:

Paro is hiring a Director of Product to work with our leadership team to drive our product line forward working on a dedicated modern product team. The Director of Product is responsible for growing our strategic initiatives product from MVP to a significant revenue generating product for Paro by innovation, identifying problems, and rallying the team behind solutions to successfully deliver features that our users love. They will work closely with end users (Internal, Clients and our Experts), business stakeholders, and the product team to deliver holistic solutions for our users that align with our business unit objectives. They will bring a deep knowledge of the market/industry and the users to the product team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI). Candidates will have eCommerce experience with two-sided marketplaces, be collaborative in nature across functional teams, and have worked on a modern product development team. This Product Manager will take ownership of the strategic programs to grow the business unit through innovative solutions, quickly and domain and contribute to both the client and expert product to grow the business unit through innovative solutions, quickly.

Core Responsibilities:

• Product strategy, vision, and roadmap. This includes artificial intelligence products such as recommendation engines
• Directly manage key elements of the product team including product analysts, associate and product managers with a focus on development of a strong cross functional team.
• Collaboration with an empowered product-engineering team (designer, lead engineer, & data lead) in a fast paced, ambiguous, innovative, & agile environment
• Oversee management of the program backlog, sprint planning, and execution
• Interact with the Artificial Intelligence team to leverage AI products and conduct ongoing product diagnostics function
• Drive clear, compelling, actionable, well-timed insights through storytelling, visualizations, and other tools that influence product / service improvements that yield customer/business value
• Apply data exploration and statistical data analysis methods correctly to discover new or previously unasked questions, and rigorously document the approach, analysis, and results
• Articulate complex needs in a simple clear and concise way
• Evangelize product solution and gain buy-in across the organization
• Own strategic program roadmap, user experience, & develop user stories
• Work with team members located in different time zones (US, Europe, & India)
• Data guided approach to solutions and KPIs
• Identify build vs. buy opportunities with the business and product team
• Help to pioneer the future of work in the gig economy through bleeding edge technology

How you’ll add value:

• 10+ years in a product management, engineering, or technology role
• Bachelor's degree or comparable hands on experience
• Experience in expert acquisition; supply demand modeling; or Voice of the Customer
• Nice to have: familiarity with corporate finance (accounting 101 & finance 101)
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey intricate ideas in a simple, clear, and concise way
• Expertise in writing epics, user stories and product quality assurance
• Understanding of why modern product teams succeed
• Proven ability to interact with business stakeholders and users
• Proven experience influencing without authority (stakeholders & product teams)
• Proven success working with cross-functional teams
• Experience evangelizing product vision and solutions across the organization
• Experience developing web apps and comfortable learning emerging technologies
• Very detail oriented with strong follow through
• Past experience collaborating across functional areas in Sales, Customer Success, Recruiting, Finance, Accounting, and Marketing
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) - Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms
