Director of Product Design, Innovation Team

PrizePicks is looking to hire a Director of Product Design to be a design leader in our new Innovation Team, driving UX strategic direction, roadmap, and success metrics for our portfolio of new products, building the team, and creating the processes that will drive the future of the fan experience. Design is different at PrizePicks. We are collectively inspired by the future state of Daily Fantasy Sports and sports entertainment, and are committed to advancing that future in meaningful ways. User experience is at the forefront of how we create impactful products used by sports fans every day.

• Conduct discovery workshops and qualitative research efforts to gather feedback from internal stakeholders and customers.
• Partner with product management and engineering to create thoughtful solutions for new products that intersect with and expand on PrizePicks’ existing portfolio.
• Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes.
• Be a player-coach, creating design solutions individually as well as building and overseeing a team of UX professionals.
• Be a fierce advocate for the sports fans who use our products every day.

• 8+ years of experience with increasing levels of responsibility as a design / UX professional and leader working on consumer apps with some level of scale.
• An outstanding portfolio, showcasing a foundation in Typography, Interaction and Visual Design.
• Ability to clearly and concisely explain complex concepts and build consensus with cross-disciplinary groups.
• Experience identifying design talent as well as mentoring and managing more junior designers.
• Proven ability to create and implement design processes and systems.
• A background in leading and/or strongly participating in design sprints and discovery/ideation workshops.
• Ability to create net new solutions that align with a company’s vision and strategy.

• Casino, sports and/or gaming industry experience.

• Candidates local to the Atlanta, GA area are preferred, but remote candidates will be considered, and if hired will need to travel to Atlanta roughly twice per quarter.
