The Team
Our Engagement Channels group is at the heart of of how our end users - customers employees interact with our systems as part of their native work experience through our mobile application and multiple integrations to apps like M365, Slack, etc.. The group's work also include integrations to other 3rd party HRIS and operational systems to create smooth, intuitive and collaborative users experience.
Role Summary
Our Engineering Directors lead key product development initiatives, adding value for our customers and users, while achieving strategic outcomes for Workhuman. In this role, you will support a number of Engineering teams and be responsible for people and technology strategy, leading through times of transition, and leveraging diverse perspectives to achieve measurable business results. A key expectation is that you will develop future leaders and ensure there is an effective succession plan to support company growth.
Key Responsibilities (the value you will deliver)

  • You will build world class engineering teams bringing together individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills and expertise to build great products.
  • You will guide leaders in driving impactful outcomes in an environment where organisational, strategic and technical is common.
  • You will lead and contribute to cross cutting strategic & technical initiatives that drive continuous improvement across the organisation.
  • You will develop and drive the strategy within product area influencing Engineering & Product strategy and ensuring execution of complex deliverables
  • You will actively be involved in organisational design and change management, workforce planning and strategy for the function.
  • You will drive the full talent lifecycle for your functional area championing a culture of growth and development through extensive coaching and mentorship of leaders creating strong bench strength of talent and succession.


Knowledge/Experience

  • 10+ years experience in technology industry
  • At least 5 Years experience as a Director/VP of Engineering
  • You have experience in Product Development in the enterprise Software-as-a-Service and cloud technologies
  • A strong understanding and track record of how to build and drive a thriving Engineering culture, with a track record of managing leaders and engineers to do their best work
  • A passion and love of mentoring and coaching your team to help them develop and grow their careers

Qualifications

  • BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related area
  • MBA strongly preferred
