Director of Product Management
Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Product Management for Specialty Equipment is responsible for the company's product strategy, planning and execution all through the lifecycle of the company. This is inclusive of gathering and prioritizing requirements for products, defining vision for products in line with company strategy, and collaborating with other departments from solutions/marketing, engineering, manufacturing, clinical, sales, and operations in order to ensure that strategic, financial, and customer satisfaction goals are met.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understands and becomes a subject matter expert on the overall product offering, defined as: all materials, hardware and software of the product design, as well as the customer/sales relevance; this includes being actively engaged in product trainings, field visits, industry trade shows and trainings, and health care provider engagements.
- Develops the strategy and roadmap for revenue growth goal attainment.
- Creates, manages, and innovates the Product Offerings, to include:
∘ Validates and interprets customer segmentation and market requirements definition.
∘ Enhance existing products to improve Agiliti's value proposition.
∘ Identifies and prioritizes the next set of product features by identifying unmet consumer needs, researching competitive products and solutions, and considering buy vs. build vs. license vs. partner options.
∘ Defines product features and develops product requirements.
- Manage the performance of product manager team to ensure product development objectives are met.
- Collaborates with and gains stakeholder approval of new/redesigned product offerings from marketing, sales, operations, finance, legal, and others as required.
- Partners with cross-functional teams to establish product offering return on investment, pricing strategy, and customer value realization.
- Integrates new/redesigned product offerings into sales process and marketing channels through development of sales and readiness capabilities and enablement tools.
- Collaborate with the solution team for operational deployment planning and organizational readiness of new/redesigned product offerings.
- Conducts new/redefined product offering beta pilots with internal partners and customers to ensure product valuation.
- Conducts clinical/economic outcomes research to support customer adoption of products.
- Researches buy/build/license/partner opportunities and collaborates for operational deployment planning and organizational readiness of new/redesigned product offerings to ensure operational efficiencies achieved.
- Maintains responsibility for outlining the plan on how to execute these deliverables, as well as which activities will require internal support, which activities will require external support.
- Reviews the product offering performance and proposes recommendations for product innovation and/or potential product ramp down.
- Develops short and long-range strategies for product expansion.
- Understands the competitor landscape and key market drivers for product positioning and success.
- Works closely with the downstream marketing team to define and execute product launch plans including identification and development of new tools required
- Delivers technical educational presentations to various stakeholders, including commercial team, healthcare providers, and internal management.
- Effectively articulates, educates, and trains sales and operations teams on the features and benefits of Agiliti offerings.
- Actively reviews and participates in mergers and acquisitions, including identification, due diligence, and implementation.
- Supports relationships with strategic partners including Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Third Party Providers and other partners.
- Attendance of and participation in industry conferences, associations, and meetings as well as regulatory and standard organizations that set product requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of experience in solution/product management, service marketing, and strategic solution development, specifically in the healthcare market.
- Demonstrated experience of taking customer-centric solution market opportunities and articulating them in the form of market and service product requirements documents that articulate customer challenges, desired value proposition, and potential solution areas.
- Demonstrated development of a clear and sustainable business model built on differentiated value prop that is vetted through a validation process.
- Knowledge of healthcare market, specifically in medical products.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.

- Excellent interpersonal skills related to interfacing and establishing relationships with customers and key influencers to ensure that marketing decisions are customer-driven.
- Demonstrated ability to be effective in working with cross-functional teams to clearly define and deliver the right products to market, at the right time.
- Experience and skills in collaborating and motivating people towards delivering top performance and outcomes.
- Experience in building and managing products.
- Experience in calculating and demonstrating customer return on value and overall business acumen.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and presentation skills, including ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to foster and maintain a high level of organizational professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite.
