Your job as a Director Product Management is to deliver business impact by marshaling the resources to identify and solve the most impactful customer problems.  The phData Director Product Management will create, execute, and manage phData’s strategy for its core products and services: data platforms, data engineering, and machine learning. This includes aspects of a) partner management, b) product management, c) product marketing, d) sales enablement. The product manager will collaborate closely with phData technical and sales teams to understand customers, prospects, and phData’s services and capabilities. They will work in concert with others in the organization (marketing, delivery, finance, sales, etc.) to devise winning plans, execute winning plans, and take responsibility for the results.

Role / Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing Service / Product Strategies - where are we playing, what do we say no to, how do we win 
  • Developing, implementing and refining Service / Product Definitions - what is it and how are we going to do it, who buys it, differentiation, market need, customer problem, value statements, etc
  • Developing and executing business growth strategies 
  • Developing and refining new pricing models
  • Work with Product Marketing to develop and execute marketing strategies. For example what is plan, what is the messaging and positioning, what marketing channels, what solutions are we going to market with; number of leads to hit that target for partners and customers
  • Sales enablement/training - decks, discovery questionnaires, scoping docs, proposal templates, email sequences, sales assets (examples), presenting to end customers
  • Refining and improving phData’s Product Management practices 

Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in product management, business consulting, strategy consulting preferably within the Data and Analytics industry
  • Experience leading product strategy, product GTM and/or growth initiatives
  • Demonstrated expertise in communication skills and customer relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to execute on strategic initiatives and delivering meaningful business results
  • Ability to develop customer insights via end customer conversations and or through internations with sales teams and executives
  • Strong planning, collaboration skills across diverse organizations 

Nice to haves

  • Experience in the Data and Analytics industry 
  • Experience in sales and or pre sales activities
  • Experience in taking a product through its entire growth lifecycle from inception to launch and manage
