The Product team uses creativity, insights, and operational excellence to steer our product vision across Snap Inc. We are looking for a Director of  Product Management, Ad Marketplace and Quality, who will be responsible for the systems that select and rank ads, with the objective to deliver the most possible value to our advertisers while delighting and engaging our users. 

What you’ll do:

  • Set strategy, build roadmaps, and execute, across all our marketplace and quality systems. These include targeting, bidding, predictive modeling, user value, and auction. 

  • Deliver ever more value to advertisers through improvements to our targeting and bidding systems

  • Deliver better, more relevant, and more delightful ads by increasing our understanding of users, what they find valuable, and building models to appropriately account for this in the auction

  • Improve the auction mechanism to maximize the value we deliver to advertisers and users 

  • Drive rapid experimentation and increase our innovation velocity

  • Improve out metrics to be better proxies for advertiser and user value

  • Improve our experimentation and simulation systems so we can make better and faster decisions

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Marketing, Marketing Science, and other Product Management teams to build the best possible products for our advertisers and users. 

  • Lead and grow a team of Product Managers.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Deep understanding of ads marketplace systems, including targeting, bidding, auction, and predictive modeling

  • Understanding of experimentation and causal inference

  • Ability to work effectively across the organization and drive alignment

  • Ability to lead and grow a global team of senior talent

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience

  • 10+ years of analytical or measurement experience in digital ads or related space

  • 4+ years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of causal inference e.g. bayesian inference, econometric methods, etc.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, or finance

  • Advanced quantitative or business degree 

  • Experience working at a top tier ad platform with a heavy mobile presence
