BillionToOne, ranked at the top 5% of Y Combinator companies with $300M+ in funding from prominent VC firms, has developed a DNA molecular counter that increases cfDNA diagnostic resolution by over 1,000 fold. BillionToOne's first product, UNITY, is the first and only non-invasive prenatal test that can directly screen an unborn baby and assess its risk for common and severe recessive gene disorders and chromosomal abnormalities, as well as fetal sex and fetal antigens, from a single tube of blood from the pregnant mother without paternal testing.

In 2023, BillionToOne launched two liquid biopsy products that will markedly improve oncology treatment and care. With Northstar Selectā„¢, clinicians will be able to select cancer therapies that will be most effective to each patient based on their individual genetic makeup. Northstar Responseā„¢ will enable clinicians to monitor a patient’s early response to these cancer therapies, by measuring minute changes in their ctDNA, which can reduce ineffective treatments and unwanted toxicity, lower costs, and substantially improve clinical outcomes.

We are looking for a Director of Product Management to lead and manage the prenatal product line (UNITY products). This role will own the entire product roadmap and product marketing function for the prenatal product portfolio. You'll work closely with the R&D, clinical team, engineering team, and company leadership to lead new assay development as well as existing assay enhancements.Ā You’ll also be responsible for defining key messaging to best promote the prenatal products and develop product marketing content for the product line. As the product owner of the most important product line at BillionToOne, your role and responsibility will also grow quickly as the company scales. This is a hybrid role (onsite in either our Menlo Park or Union City location 3 days/week) and reports directly to the Chief Product Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the market and design a winning product concept: Be the primary expert within the company about prenatal user (patients and clinicians) needs and desires, the market, and how our technology assets can solve their problems.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch: Plan and execute the product roadmap from early conception to feasibility, development, validation, and post-launch monitoring.Ā 
  • End-to-end user experience: Ensure that every customer touch point delivers a consistent, seamless user experience that is aligned with the product vision.
  • Product marketing: Take ownership of brand and marketing strategies for new product launch, go-to-market, and the product’s entire lifecycle.
  • Program management: Responsible for getting the product to the finish line by mobilizing relevant internal and external resources.Ā 
  • Continuous iterations and improvements: Monitor user voice and behaviors, key metrics, and key market trends for the product line and identify areas of improvement.

Requirements:

  • 6-10 years of experience in product management and/or product marketing, launching and managing prenatal genetic testing products
  • Experience driving product vision, go-to-market strategy, and product requirements
  • Experience launching a product from start to finish
  • Experience working with diverse teams to gather requirements and rally them to get a complex product launched
  • This is an on-site position (hybrid/WFH is okay for 1-2 days a week). We do not accept remote applicants

At BillionToOne, we are proud to offer a combination of a (1) base pay range (actual amount offered is based on experience and salary/equity options split that the candidate chooses) (2) generous equity options offering, on top of (3) industry leading company benefits (free healthcare options, 401k match, very generous fully paid parental leave etc.).

For this position, the base pay range is $200,000 to $225,000 per year.
