Job Overview 

Reporting to the Head of Product Marketing, this role is responsible for contributing to and executing Yellowbrick’s comprehensive strategy for product growth. You’ll be a team player and will work with the wider demand gen, social, community, product, partner, brand and sales teams to get more organizations to find, know, consider and advocate for Yellowbrick. This role has significant opportunities to make a real impact on the company’s success, and to shape Yellowbrick’s GTM.  

You’ll be flexible and willing to lean in wherever needed, deeply curious, and able to quickly absorb technical subjects relating to data and analytics, and infrastructure in the cloud and on-premises. You will use your passion for data, and its ability to revolutionize industries and the wider world, to showcase Yellowbrick’s value proposition.  

You’ll have the flexibility to work remotely but are able to travel (~15%) within the US and internationally to meet customers, execute events and meet other teams. 

 Responsibilities  

  • Participate in product marketing planning activities  
  • Execute our product-marketing strategy, including product positioning and content creation  
  • Work with other marketing teams to define and optimize integrated campaigns that drive product qualified leads (PQL) and sales qualified leads (SQL)  
  • Analyze sales efficiency to address bottlenecks including building competitive battlecards, sales training materials, sales plays, and working closely with sales operations on building presentations 
  • Interface with influencers, including analysts, ensuring they understand Yellowbrick’s market position and unique value proposition
  • Appear as a representative for Yellowbrick at events, on podcasts, or in other forums
  • Leverage social media channels to engage customers and influencers in ongoing conversations
  • Fully manage core product-related content creation from ideas to internal reviews to external placement and work with the Demand Generation team on promotion
  • Manage an ongoing pipeline of customer case studies, including working with Sales and Communications to build a case study funnel
  • Execute product launches 
  • Manage, maintain, organize, and contribute to the competitive positioning library and website content
  • Provide Sales support including building proposals, competitive research, and presentations
  • Focus content efforts with campaigns to drive awareness, inbound traffic, and ultimately sales pipeline and revenue 

Qualifications  

  • 7+ years of product marketing experience in high-growth start-up environment 
  • 3+ years of experience in data warehousing, analytics or related disciplines 
  • 3+ years of working with solutions in the public cloud – Azure, Google Cloud (GCP), and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS) 
  • A successful track-record with product led growth (PLG), self-service and PaaS / SaaS product acquisition strategies 
  • Experience in B2B product marketing for a technical product, particularly software or services to large enterprises
  • A good understanding of how businesses make use of data, data warehousing / analytics, the challenges of managing and exploiting data and the motivations of key personas in the buying cycle
  • An understanding of the competitors in the data warehouse market and other vendors in the data services eco-system
  • Experience of marketing SaaS/PaaS services in the public cloud and B2B software / hardware acquisition cycles
  • Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills including ability to create compelling narratives for products and markets
  • Ability to innovatively leverage social media to engage with customers and users
  • Experience in supporting communities, and building customer advocacy
  • Proven track record in sales enablement 
  • Successful at launching and delivering new products / services into the market
  • Ability to create clear plans, to network and to mobilize an organization to execute
