As the Director of Product Marketing, you will become the expert on key personas across B2B (Instawork Partners) and job seeker (Instawork Professionals). You will develop this expertise through both quantitative and qualitative research to identify insights to refine our messaging, find channels/tactics to drive growth, inform content strategy, and prioritize segments to maximize value to Instawork. You’ll also have fun identifying and executing GTM projects/campaigns focussed on driving marketplace growth.
What You’ll Do
- Lead product marketing across multiple customer segments, becoming the company expert on more than one customer persona (B2B & B2C)
- Build the function, both processes and team
- Launch GTM plans to improve customer adoption, depending on identified strategic priorities
- Develop and improve lifecycle campaigns to automate and optimize onboarding and ongoing engagement across B2B and B2C personas.
- Champion effective content, across multiple media formats, that educates our users
- Work cross-functionally with product, content, demand gen, and other business stakeholders to hit goals
Who You Are
- 10+ years in product marketing, lifecycle marketing, marketing strategy, or consulting.
- Demonstrated success being the first (or second) product marketer on a team, ideally within a startup environment.
- Track record of initiating, planning, and executing marketing campaigns that drive meaningful impact.
- Analytical chops, able to draw insightful conclusions from using business analytic tools and primary research.
- Intellectually curious, empathetic, and driven to solve hard problems
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. Comfortable making decisions amidst ambiguity, a strong bias for action.
- Adept at and enjoy partnering cross-functionally across teams. Bonus if you've managed teams before or mentored junior teammates.

- Location: SF Bay Area, NYC, LA, Chicago, or Miami
For CA or NY based applicants:
- The base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $200,000
- This position is eligible for equity in the form of stock options
- This position is eligible for Instawork benefits, including:
