Director of Product Marketing

Position Purpose

The Director of Product Marketing will be responsible for overseeing and implementing critical aspects of bringing Reycraft Books titles to the market including messaging and positioning of books and author events; development of marketing strategies and the sales tools and marketing collateral to support them; preparation for conferences and author presentations; content marketing to support softer sells; and other forms of collaboration with the marketing, sales, editorial, professional development, and creative services teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with colleagues and authors, develop and implement print and digital content marketing campaigns, events, and sales promotional materials for products, authors, and trainings
• Plan, implement, and oversee multi-faceted marketing collateral, e-commerce, direct mail, e-marketing, and social media programs
• Design multichannel campaigns with customer targeting and segmentation strategies that increase customer engagement and drive sales

• Work collaboratively with colleagues in multiple departments, consultants, and vendors to achieve marketing goals on time and grow the business as a whole
• Recruit, manage and develop departmental staff; develop and refine best practices and work flows

Job Requirements: Skills & Experiences

• 5-7+ years' of management experience in educational or trade publishing and marketing
• Proven track record of growing campaigns from strategy through to execution
• Provide data driven insights to develop actionable recommendations
• Excellent communication, writing, editing, and digital marketing skills
• Excellent management, creative vision, and leadership skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and manage multiple tasks and projects
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and digital marketing knowledge
