About the job
SpotOn is looking for an exceptional Director of Product with an extensive background in Product roles working in the Hospitality industry, especially POS, off-premise ordering, kitchen production etc. This is a critical role focused on expanding and enhancing features to better compete and win in the SMB and mid-market restaurant spaces.
Key areas of focus will include working with the product managers on your team to gather customer and stakeholder feedback and requirements, perform market analysis, and define the strategic product direction in partnership with the SpotOn leadership team. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality. This role will require balancing client and internal relationships while partnering with engineering to deliver market-leading products through innovative and simplistic architecture.
Role/Responsibilities:
Be a well-rounded product leader - someone who has both excellent product design/UX sense and strengths in market dynamics and business strategy

• Hire, build, and lead a high performing Product Management team focused on client service, teamwork, performance feedback, individual recognition and mutual respect.
• Work on early stage and growth stage products
• Set the long-term product strategy, identify risks/challenges and present to executive leadership
• Drive product design and prioritization decisions across directly managed teams, and work closely with teams across other product portfolio
• Be accountable for product roadmaps, resource allocation, and release cadence
• Be an evangelist for your product movement across the company
• Ideal experience would be someone with 8+ years of experience in a product role (ideally with a focus in the hospitality industry) and 4+ years of people management experience.
• Someone with excellent product design sense plus awareness and interest in market dynamics.
• Someone with experience gaining alignment and prioritization across multiple internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• The drive to flourish with minimal guidance; you are proactive and thrive in uncertain and ambiguous environments
