Summary of Position:
NVE Experience Agency is seeking a Director of Production to serve as the production lead for a dedicated group working exclusively with a large spirits brand client. This role holds overall responsibility and accountability for the staffing of the group, maintaining project margins, implementing changes to team processes, and working collaboratively with directors from other departments to build strong client relationships, cultivate new business opportunities, and ensure appropriate project and client assignments. The Director of Production will closely collaborate with the VP and EVP of Production to further develop the billing model, rates, and ensure the highest level of service to the client.
With a large team under their leadership, Success in this role will be measured by the ability to deliver flawless event production, maintain high team morale through effective coaching and guidance, proactively identify and solve problems, establish strong client bonds, and manage project and client assignments effectively.
Job Responsibilities:
- Production Leadership
- Serve as the production lead for the dedicated group working with the large spirits brand client.
- Take overall responsibility and accountability for the staffing of the group.
- Ensure project margins are maintained, and make necessary adjustments to optimize profitability.
- Implement changes to team processes as needed to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with the VP and EVP of Production to develop and refine the billing model, rates, and overall client service.
- Team Management
- Lead a large team, providing strong coaching and guidance to ensure their success.
- Foster a positive and motivating work environment for the internal teams.
- Identify and address any issues or challenges promptly and proactively.
- Consistently provide coaching, guidance, and support to help team members grow and excel.
- Encourage a problem-solving mindset and empower the team to find innovative solutions.
- Mentor junior team members on specific compliance laws as it relates to events within the spirits industry
- Client Relationship Building
- Collaborate with directors from other departments within the group to build strong client relationships.
- Actively engage with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Establish trust and credibility with clients, serving as a reliable point of contact.
- Continuously identify opportunities to add value and exceed client expectations.
- Proactively address any client concerns or issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain relevant and up to date knowledge of trends in the spirits industry to best partner with client and provide guidance on events
- New Business Development
- Work collaboratively with directors from other departments to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Leverage existing client relationships and industry knowledge to expand the agency's client portfolio.
- Participate in pitch presentations and client meetings, showcasing the agency's capabilities and expertise.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market insights, and competitor activities to identify potential clients and industry developments.
- Project and Client Assignment Management
- Collaborate closely with the VP and EVP of Production to ensure appropriate project and client assignments within the group.
- Work together to assess the team's skillsets and expertise to match them with the right projects and clients.
- Ensure the team is staffed appropriately for each project, considering workload, capacity, and skill requirements.
- Monitor project and client assignments, making adjustments as needed to optimize resource allocation and project outcomes.
- Event Production Excellence
- Ensure flawless event production for the large spirits brand client.
- Oversee all aspects of event planning, execution, and on-site management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and execution of projects.
- Proactively identify potential problems and develop solutions to mitigate risks.
- Maintain a strong attention to detail throughout the production process.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of proven event production experience required.
- Extensive experience in managing large teams and providing effective leadership.
- Strong knowledge of the wine & spirits industry, including an understanding of relevant trends, consumer behavior, trade marketing, and regulatory considerations
- Strong track record in flawless event production and execution.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic agency environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong coaching and mentoring abilities.
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Experience in developing and refining billing models and rates.
- Experience working within inter-agency model including Advertising, PR, Media and Social teams.
Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% or more of the time while working remotely and in a standing position 50% or more of the time while working onsite
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and have a valid Driver’s License
- Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally heavier items
- Available to work weekends and evenings as needed for events
Location: We are a hybrid company with hub locations in Los Angeles and New York City. The ideal candidate is located in Los Angeles, however, we will consider remote candidates for this role.

Salary Estimation: $140,000.00 - $165,000.00
This is an exempt role. NVE intends to provide a competitive total compensation package which includes a variety of incentives, benefits, growth and developmental opportunities. There are many factors to the presented salary range, including but not limited to - location, departmental budgets, certifications, and overall job-related qualifications.
