Director of QA, RCV

We're currently looking for: a highly experienced Director of Quality Assurance (QA) to join our team and lead the development and execution of our quality assurance strategy for our cloud-based video application. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, cloud-based technologies, and video applications and extensive experience in building and managing high-performance QA teams. In addition, the candidate should be able to drive test automation strategies to fully migrate the software delivery process from release to CI/CD.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive QA strategy for our cloud-based video application, including test plans, test cases, and testing methodologies.
• Establish and maintain testing standards and best practices, including automation and manual testing approaches.
• Build and lead a high-performance QA team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and customer support, to ensure high-quality software releases.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including vendors and customers, to ensure quality standards are met.
• Drive continuous improvement in QA processes and methodologies, including identifying and implementing new tools and technologies.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in QA.
• Proven track record of building and leading high-performance QA teams testing human-based full-stack applications
• Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies and video applications.
• Experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred)

• Collaborate with all teams within RCV to achieve the defined goals.
• Strategic - with a clear vision for the stable, steady state, and driving incremental changes toward achieving those goals
• Technical and hands-on - able to guide teams on technical aspects of the testing infrastructure/tools

If you are hired in Dallas or Colorado, the compensation range for this position is between $146,400 to $164,700 for full-time employees, in addition to eligibility for variable pay, equity, and benefits. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, health and wellness, 401k, ESPP, vacation, parental leave, and more! The salary may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.
