About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Director of Quality Engineering to join our team. In this role, you will lead the Quality Engineering team and be responsible for ensuring the quality of Taulia's products.
This position reports directly to the VP of Engineering and is a peer to our Director of Engineering roles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive quality engineering strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of local and remote test engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
Drive and refine software quality assurance best practices, strategy, methodology and metrics collection to enhance testing capabilities within the QE team and across Development teams.
Ensure that documented processes are followed, collecting evidence of what was tested and the outcome of tests.
Plan testing and related resources in an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure adequate manual and automated coverage for each release and subsequent regression cycles.
Work closely with peers in Engineering and Product organizations to plan and coordinate testing activity.
Track and report on release progress, escalating issues, facilitating resolution and providing status updates to stakeholders.
Assist in recruiting local and remote test and software engineers.
Competencies:
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong technical aptitude and experience.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Experience with developing and implementing effective processes in an organization.
Experience testing and/or developing enterprise software using an Agile methodology.
Experience with ERP systems (finance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc) or SAP financials in particular is desirable but not essential.
Experience with Quality Management standards (ISO-9001, ISO-27001, or similar) is highly desirable.
Qualifications:
2+ years managing at least 4 test engineers in direct reporting relationships.
4+ years in lead position organizing developers or testers.
5+ years testing web-based applications and web services in QA/QE role.
2+ years writing, maintaining and running automated tests as part of feature development and regression.
Experience working with industry standard test and test case management tools.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Experience testing large data sets and large data flows.
Experience with Jenkins, Selenium, JUnit, Groovy, Java is preferred.

Compensation is based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to): skills, depth of work experience, certifications, geography, etc. Total compensation for this role includes a generous benefits program, RSU incentive plan and annual performance bonus.
