Amplify is looking to hire a Director of Regional Design and Delivery with a background in coaching school leadership, team leadership and/or professional development design and facilitation to join our professional development team to ensure that the educators throughout the country have rich and rigorous professional learning experiences with Amplify's STEM and Literacy programs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Regional Design and Delivery will manage a team of Specialists who are responsible for customizing, modifying, and designing robust professional learning experiences in Amplify's programs and ensuring that all regional Professional Development (PD) delivery teams are prepared to confidently support customer implementation of Amplify products.
In this role, you will:
  • Launch, lead, manage, and develop a new team of new Regional Design and Delivery Specialists, including establishing a team vision that drives our department and company-wide priorities, strategy, systems, and processes to enable the Design and Delivery team to effectively adapt Amplify's suite of in-person, remote and asynchronous professional development assets for teachers, instructional leaders, and district leaders so that they accurately reflect the different features of Amplify's state-specific product editions
  • Directly design and model high quality delivery of professional development sessions
  • Design and implement a system to regularly check in on regional needs in order to develop additional, compelling in-person, remote, and asynchronous professional development assets for teachers, instructional leaders, and district leaders that respond to these needs
  • Set priorities, develop strategic work plans, and manage risks for all Design and Delivery projects to ensure team meets service deadlines, are on budget and drives toward successful customer outcomes
  • Regularly review Design and Delivery team's project plans and clearly and concisely communicate project plan statuses, risks and decisions to Amplify senior leaders
  • Provide targeted feedback around the clarity and accuracy of content, instructional and visual design, and delivery to the Design and Delivery team to continuously strengthen session content and ensure high-quality delivery at scale
  • Oversee the design and delivery of internal onboarding and ongoing training for regional team members that supports understanding of professional development session content and best practices for PD delivery
  • Recruit, hire and oversee any additional contract staff to craft and customize compelling remote, online, and in person professional development sessions and assets for teachers, instructional leaders, and district and state leaders
  • Regularly assess the impact and effectiveness of professional development assets by analyzing feedback from PD participants, regional team members and internal colleagues; share key information with Amplify senior leaders
  • Collaborate closely with Content and Product teams to understand upcoming program updates and releases and incorporate them into training programs and assets, as applicable
  • Builds exceptional cross-functional relationships with Amplify teams, such as Government Relations, PD Delivery, PD Design, and Sales
  • Support regional PD leaders with designing solutions that compellingly position Amplify's PD offerings in RFPs
  • Own budgeting and forecasting for the Design and Delivery Team, including identifying staffing and other budgeting needs and managing operations to achieve agreed-upon budget targets
  • Develop PD collateral to support internal and external understanding of regional PD offerings
  • Travel onsite to deliver in-person training, conduct observations and meet with key stakeholders and team members, when needed
  • Support Amplify-wide and PD-specific priorities and other tasks as assigned by manager

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5+ years of teaching and/or coaching PreK-12 students and/or teachers
  • 2 or more years of experience designing and facilitating professional development sessions for educators both in-person and online at scale
  • 2 or more years of experience managing teams of people in diverse roles and locations, including hiring, onboarding and training.
  • Proven knowledge of adult learning principles and experience applying them to deliver learning experiences to adults
  • Strong knowledge around best practices for implementing high-quality instruction in math, science and literacy in order for students to meet and exceed rigorous grade level standards
  • Demonstrated proficiency with instructional and visual design
  • Proven experience leading large-scale projects in an education setting, including planning, managing a team, budgeting, prioritizing, and running work streams across stakeholders
  • Ability to chart a course, while also remaining flexible and open to shifting regional needs
  • Experience crafting sound work plans and coordinating priorities and tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional senior partners
  • Proven track record managing and leveraging data to make strategic shifts and ultimately drive towards successful outcomes
  • Demonstrated proficiency of technology integration in professional development and in the classroom
  • Ability to travel for onsite and in-person meetings approximately 20% of the year

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Experience facilitating Amplify professional development sessions
  • Experience teaching and/or supporting implementation of Amplify products
  • Experience leading program adoptions in a school or district setting
  • Experience using Adobe Acrobat, Canva and Wordpress
  • Excellent skill and comfort with technology-based productivity tools, including Microsoft Office, Google Applications and video conferencing programs (Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams
  • Demonstrated expertise with supporting diverse student populations (English learners, SPED, Gifted/Talented, etc.)

What we offer:
COMPENSTION
Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a lucrative 401(k) plan, incentive stock options, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross salary range for this role is $130,000-$145,000. This role is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
