 Reporting directly to the VP-Finance & Accounting, the Director of Revenue will lead the revenue accounting and billing function, serve as the company’s subject matter expert on revenue accounting, ensure ASC 606 compliance, and provide strategic direction for the revenue recognition process. Our Corporate Business Unit is looking for a Director of Revenue to join the team! Our Corporate departments provide shared services and planning support to all of the Business Units while guiding the company's growth strategy. This includes Finance, Legal/Privacy, Strategy/Corporate Development, and People.

• Ensure that company revenue recognition interpretation and internal revenue guidance are consistent and in compliance with GAAP and all technical pronouncements. 
• Review all revenue contracts and assess the accounting and reporting implications in accordance with ASC 606 and other authoritative literature.  Draft technical accounting memos documenting the company’s application of revenue accounting standards.
• Manage the monthly revenue close process including timely completion of all close analyses and reviews.
• Lead systems and process improvement processes for revenue accounting & accounts receivable processes, including reporting, streamlining and reconciliation processes.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and strategy on technical revenue recognition matters, including contract reviews, structuring of non-standard sales transactions, and new products.  
• Review and reconcile monthly revenue, accounts receivable, unbilled receivable, accrued and deferred revenue balances.
• Develop and maintain internal controls over revenue and accounts receivable processes
• Drive continuous business process improvement and automation
• Work with other members of the Finance and Accounting group to collaborate on information gathering, closing of the books, and analyzing/interpreting financial information.
• Other tasks as operational exigencies dictate.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business
• CPA required
• Excellent technical accounting and financial reporting skills 
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and competing demands

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Business a plus
• At least 10 years accounting experience, combination of Big 4 and corporate accounting/finance experience preferred
• Extensive experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition, preferably in the biotech and software industries.
