Evidation is looking for a Director of Revenue reporting directly to the VP-Finance & Accounting who will lead the revenue accounting and billing function, serve as the company’s subject matter expert on revenue accounting, ensure ASC 606 compliance, and provide strategic direction for the revenue recognition process. 

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

• Ensure that company revenue recognition interpretation and internal revenue guidance are consistent and in compliance with GAAP and all technical pronouncements. 
• Review all revenue contracts and assess the accounting and reporting implications in accordance with ASC 606 and other authoritative literature.  Draft technical accounting memos documenting the company’s application of revenue accounting standards.
• Manage the monthly revenue close process including timely completion of all close analyses and reviews.
• Lead systems and process improvement processes for revenue accounting & accounts receivable processes, including reporting, streamlining and reconciliation processes.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and strategy on technical revenue recognition matters, including contract reviews, structuring of non-standard sales transactions, and new products.  
• Review and reconcile monthly revenue, accounts receivable, unbilled receivable, accrued and deferred revenue balances.
• Develop and maintain internal controls over revenue and accounts receivable processes
• Drive continuous business process improvement and automation
• Support, consult and collaborate with the Sales team on deal pricing and contract construction.
• Work with other members of the Finance and Accounting group to collaborate on information gathering, closing of the books, and analyzing/interpreting financial information.
• Other tasks as operational exigencies dictate.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business
• CPA required; Master’s Degree in Business a plus
• 10+ years accounting experience, combination of Big 4 and corporate accounting/finance experience preferred
• Extensive experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition, preferably in the biotech and software industries. 
• Excellent technical accounting and financial reporting skills 
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and competing demands

The US base hiring range for this full-time position is $146,000-$250,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. The actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including work location, experience, training, and skill level, so pay for this role may be higher or lower than what is shown on this posting.
