Who we are looking for?

You are an experienced sales leader who’s excited about rolling up your sleeves and diving headfirst into a variety of different outbound sales motions at an early stage startup. You have prior experience building, managing, and scaling teams, and nothing gets you more excited than leading a team to smash targets and set records quarter after quarter. While you’re passionate about leading teams, at the same time, you know what it means to build, to start with nothing and create something, and to collaborate with other teams to get things done. Most importantly, you’re passionate about our mission and what it means to help America’s workers develop financial freedom.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the strategy and execution of our Sales, Sales Development and Partner Acquisition teams to drive revenue and exceptional experiences for our customers.
  • Define Clair’s outbound sales strategy hand in hand with the Product and Marketing teams, including: defining the Ideal Customer Profile and target industries, defining outreach strategies and required collateral/marketing strategies (e.g. creating a target sales list and co-designing account-based marketing strategies)
  • Manage our mid-market outbound team of Sales Development Representatives and Account Executives, including hiring, training, target-setting, performance management, pitch iterations, and org design.
  • Manage our new partner acquisition team to bring in new HCM partners like payroll and workforce management companies, including defining the target list, setting up account-based strategies, defining the commercial offerings, and pitching/running meetings 
  • Hire, coach, and support talent through consistent feedback, navigation of challenges, and celebration of wins
  • Own all acquisition metrics and results, and report to the executive leadership team on a monthly basis
  • Explore, recommend, get approval for, and implement new tools and technologies and train the team on new processes, focusing on continuous improvement and increasing efficiencies
  • Collaborate effectively with other organizations, including marketing, partnerships, implementations, and product

Required Experience/ Qualifications 

  • 3-5 years of B2B sales experience, with at least two years leading teams
  • Strategic and data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyze, act on, and report on a variety of different metrics
  • Prior experience in selling and closing a mid-market and/or enterprise audience
  • Some experience hiring, managing, and coaching teams
  • Experience in selling to the healthcare industry or to HR professionals preferred

Additional Details:

Location: This is a hybrid position based out of New York City.

Compensation: The annual base salary for this role is $150,000-$170,000 USD. The actual base pay within this range depends on many factors, such as education, skills and experience. Base pay is only one part of Clair’s competitive total compensation package. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
