Job Description
As Veo’s Director of Sales, you will manage support functions essential to sales productivity, allowing our growing Policy and Partnerships Team to more efficiently expand Veo’s market share domestically and globally. This role will be key to Veo’s success in expanding our service in both cities and universities, and will focus on both existing RFP opportunities, as well as new business lead generation. You will work closely with other members of Veo’s Public Policy and Partnerships team, as well Veo’s hardware and software departments to ensure coordinated communication of Veo’s strengths to potential partners. Veo’s Director of Sales will be a motivated and active team player capable of excelling in a fast-paced work environment and serving in a public-facing role for a dynamic and growing company.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible for all aspects of sales planning, reporting, and sales process optimization
- Lead Veo’s Business Development efforts to ensure accurate forecasting of lead generations and quota delivery
- Optimize and grow the sales operations structure as Veo continues to expand
- Create playbooks and pitch materials to empower Veo Partnership teams and local operations to efficiently scale partnerships across key BD verticals
- Implement relevant CRM and sales technology strategies, as well as work with Veo’s
- Data Management team to Manage to convert data trends into actionable sales processes and tactics to address new opportunities or challenges
- Work closely with Veo’s communications team, particularly around customer segmentation and lead handling processes
- Manage long-term and constructive relationships with external clients that expand Veo’s total addressable market and help the company win permits and contracts to operate in more cities
Qualifications and Skills
- 7+ years of experience working in sales, business or marketing
- Proven ability to execute in an evolving, ambiguous, and dynamic environment #EmbraceAdventure
- Experience in mobility or consumer tech business development preferred
- Expertise in BI tools and CRM systems
- Demonstrated ability to define, refine and implement sales processes, procedures and policies – preferably with a focus on B2G sales
- Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages and presentations
- Ability to work with a diverse team and influence/drive change across functional and
- business boundaries
- Strong technical, research, problem solving and collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- Independent self-starter with effective people collaboration skills
- Happy to travel (up to 40% post-COVID) and welcome last-min arrangements
- Preferred locations: New York, Chicago, or Los Angeles, open to other locations in the East and West Coast.
