Director of Sales
Job Description
Gatorworks is hiring a Director of Sales who will hunt for new opportunities and find the right solution to help our clients solve problems. The position requires the ongoing management of our current sales team.
You’ll be tasked with educating organizations of all sizes on our services and explore which ones best benefit them long term. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about marketing, personable, capable, and driven. It is also important that the candidate has experience in B2B / professional services sales. The candidate will report directly to the President & Founder of Gatorworks.
This position can be in-house, hybrid, or fully remote.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an outbound sales strategy to accelerate the growth of the agency
- Develop goals for existing sales reps (2) and actively manage the direct reports to the goals
- Prospect for new business and proactively contact new opportunities weekly
- Ensure prospective clients and partners understand our range of capabilities
- Work with Sales Enablement/Strategy teams to determine the solution for the prospect
- Manage and approve sales proposals from the team
- Follow up with and otherwise engage prospects
- Manage prospects in sales CRM
- Understand and be able to explain our company’s unique selling proposition
- Provide a consultative “marketing expert” process
- Meet and exceed sales expectations, monthly, quarterly, and annually
- Implement effective handoffs to Account Management team after each sale
- Comfortable cold callingÂ
- Self-motivated and desire to be managed to results
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in an outside sales or business development role in a B2B, consultative sales environment
- At least 2 years of experience managing a team of B2B (professional services) sales reps
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to listen and understand a client’s needs
- Superior organizational and time management skills, as well as attention to detail
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with experience working with all levels of an organization, including C-level executives
- Ability to identify, articulate, and defend insights and recommendations from subject matter specialists to clients
- Aptitude for uncovering and analyzing clients’ spoken and unspoken goals and needs.
- Experience using a sales CRMÂ
- A positive, can-do, self-starting attitude.
Bonus Points:
- Experience working in the digital marketing industry or marketing agency setting
- Experience selling programmatic digital solutions
- Associate of Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Business, Sales, Communications, Digital Advertising, or related fieldÂ
- Google Analytics, Google Ads, HubSpot, The Trade Desk, or related certifications
- An existing network to tap into for sales opportunities
- Experience with Google Docs, Google Sheets
- Prior Knowledge of Programmatic Digital, Google Ads, SEO, or Website Design & Development
