Director of Sales Development

The Director of Sales Development will be responsible for building our Sales Development program from the ground-up. We have most of the key tools and infrastructure in place today and we're looking for the right individual to take our early start and build it into an industry leading sales development effort. The Director of Sales Development will be our first hire into the team, with the expectation that once they have systems and processes setup, they will build the team needed to hit our top of funnel goals.

As part of the role, they will establish both our sales development strategy, metrics, and targets as well as refine our content for the task at hand. The Director of Sales Development will work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer, our Head of Sales, VP of Commercial Operations and Chief Marketing Officer to optimize and refine the content, processes, and systems we put in place.

Responsibilities include:

  • Setting strategy: establish how we engage and educate, detailing when we do what and how we do it and with what resources both in terms of content, people, gifts and events
  • Continuously Improving: our approach, processes, systems, and technology leveraged to help us always be at the cutting edge of sales development
  • Refining targeting and qualification: of prospects to ensure we're engaging the optimal prospects to drive overall business growth
  • Defining and hitting targets: using a combination of activity and outcome metrics to demonstrate progress and impact
  • Develop content: in partnership with the marketing and sales team to drive interest and turn objections into interest and engagement
  • Establishing strong cross-functional relationships: by working closely with sales, marketing, commercial operations, IT and other related functions to ensure a "one team" approach

Requirements

Experience Required:

  • Sales / Business Development: 3+ years in Sales Development and 2+ years leading Sales Development teams
  • Startup / High Growth business: 2+ years working in a high-growth environment where you had to build processes and systems

Strong candidates will:

  • Experience in healthcare or digital health
  • Dallas office based
