POSITION SUMMARY:
The EV Charger Sales Directorwill be responsible for leading the sales efforts of electric vehicle (EV) chargers within the company. The primary focus will be on driving sales growth, developing and implementing sales strategies, and managing a team of sales professionals. You will work closely with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, build relationships, and close deals. The role requires a strong understanding of the EV charging industry, excellent leadership skills, a proven track record of achieving sales targets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve overall business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute the sales strategy for EV chargers, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Lead and manage a sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to maximize their potential and achieve sales targets.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders in the EV charging industry.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling sales materials, presentations, and campaigns to support the sales process.
- Stay up-to-date with government policy, industry trends, market developments, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and pricing trends, and provide feedback to the product development team.
- Develop and maintain sales forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics, and regularly report on progress to senior management.
- Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and events to promote the company's EV charger products and establish industry thought leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams, such as engineering, operations, and customer support, to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project implementations.
- Monitor and evaluate sales team performance, providing ongoing training and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience is required in EV Charging related industry. Prefer to in CPO experiences.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience is required in Energy related field for Sales and Business development.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and achieving sales targets, preferably in the EV charging industry or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the EV charging industry, including knowledge of various charging technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory landscape.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team to achieve outstanding results.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and industry influencers.
- Self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend conferences, and visit project sites.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage and track sales activities.
