Director of Sales - Midsize Law Firms (Westlaw, Practical Law)

Reports to: General Manager, MidSize Law Firms (MLF)

Location: MSP, Dallas, Ann Arbor or Remote

The Director of Sales builds strategy and leads a team of sales professionals to achieve overall sales and revenue growth goals for assigned region.

Success is achieved through driving performance accountability within the team and effective partnership with Client Management leadership, Midsize Law Firms' (MLF) leadership team, finance, central support and marketing functions, and broader TR enterprise.

About the Role:

In this opportunity as Director of Sales, you will:

Consistently deliver on targets for region. Own and maximize total new sales and revenue growth within assigned sales channel.

Lead a team of Regional Sales Managers to ensure that salespeople are involved in regular engagement with clients, are actively growing and managing their pipelines, and achieve sales targets

Create and execute thoughtful and strategic quota retirement plans, mobilizing and managing sales team of roughly 20 sales professionals to attack and optimize all relevant new sales, up-sell, cross-sell and renewal opportunities

Closely manage sales and renewal pipeline health and development, with clear metrics and accountabilities, and bring rigorous sales process and coaching to create sales excellence

Collaborate with the MLF Leadership team, Commercial Excellence and Sales Operations, segment commercial owners and marketing in management and execution of plans

Maintain a tight knit partnership with client management colleagues, as well as with the SDR and BDR teams.

Embrace and drive adoption of new sales automation solutions, e.g., High Velocity Sales, across the team to improve sales productivity

Actively manage a development plan for each member of the team through performance management and talent management to build and maintain a high performing team.
