Job Description

Lead and Develop strategies for Sales, Profit, Space, Trade, and Assortment Management.
  • Serve as a primary internal activewear contact for Off-price / Clubs business development.
  • Full accountability for continuous and comprehensive sales action plans to achieve sales goals - display ability to execute short term and long term opportunities in managing results.
  • Clear understanding of Off-Price / Clubs channel processes, strategies and financial metrics to communicate and collaborate with Hanesbrands business partners. Drive alignment and execution parity between organizational objectives.
  • Manage and execute consistent business review with cross functional Activewear teams, including but not limited to, sales, marketing, forecasting, planning, customer service, and design/merchandising.
  • Manage trade and budget plans to effectively delivery growth and profit. Includes oversight of markdown, advertising, and marketing budgets specific to business category.
  • Exhibit comprehensive understanding of activewear category and leverage competitive advantages to develop strategies.
  • Develop and be accountable for annual financial and sales plans in conjunction with VP.
  • Collaborate with product teams to achieve gross margin targets.
  • Collaborate with product teams to drive product frameworks and assortment.
  • Collaborate with product teams and supply chain to create innovative supply solutions to meet the product, logistics and pricing needs of these unique customer groups.
  • Lead deck development for sell in pitches.
  • Ability to think big and creatively on how the business is managed.
  • Have an understanding of the apparel retail market and graphics market.
  • Ability to deep dive into details.

The Director of Sales is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive internal and external selling strategy that leverages our portfolio of apparel brands and our manufacturing/graphic capabilities to increase revenues and profits in the off price and clubs businesses for Activewear. This position will work closely with the sales team, product teams and executional teams to ensure sell in has clear executional follow through. This position will need to think differently, and work cross functionally on new business models and processes to meet the unique needs of the customers in these growing value channels. This person is responsible for the total Hanesbrands Activewear financial plan with these channels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years relevant work experience OR Master's 8+ years relevant work experience
  • 5+ years of previous sales, product management or marketing experience (major retailer experience preferred)
  • Experience in apparel product management for a manufacturer or retailer preferred
  • Travel Required
  • Subscribes to the highest standards of business ethics and Global Code of Conduct
  • Expert and functional knowledge of Microsoft office - especially excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven leadership and management skills, along with strong problem solving and communication abilities required.
