ID.me simplifies how people securely prove and share their identity online. The company empowers people to control their data through a portable and trusted login, which means they don’t need to create a new password when visiting sites that have the ID.me button.

The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated digital migration for many critical services. Those services require a trusted identity to safeguard against fraud and help ensure people are who they claim to be. With ID.me, login and identity credentials move with people, which can reduce the time and frustration of having to verify at multiple sites and set up multiple passwords.

ID.me is a credential service provider compliant with federal standards for digital identity verification. 

In addition to helping people control their credentials and data, the company’s “No Identity Left Behind” initiative strives to expand access and inclusion for all people. The company offers multiple pathways to verification – online self-serve, live video chat agents, and in person. ID.me is passionate about building a robust identity network that does not compromise access for traditionally underserved groups.

Director of Sales, Retail

As a Director of Sales for Retail, you will lead a team of Account Executives in executing ID.me’s go-to market strategy in the apparel, consumer electronics, homegoods, telecom, media, and entertainment and sub verticals. You will be responsible for leading a high-performing team to solve e-commerce challenges for leading direct-to-consumer companies.  Success for ID.me customers includes increased brand awareness, customer acquisition, improved conversion rates, and reduced rates of fraud.

The impact you will make

  • Lead a high-performing sales team focused on growing revenue in the Retail vertical and working cross-functionally to support the team to close deals
  • Drive the entire sales development and solution delivery process internally and externally, running your territory as your own business
  • Understand the strategic competitive landscape and customer needs to effectively position ID.me’s industry-leading solutions
  • Manage complex sales cycles from start to finish with a track record of successful revenue attainment
  • Leverage opportunities within relevant networks while establishing mutually beneficial relationships with strategic partners and alliances
  • Create cross-functional relationships while pulling together different business units to maximize on sales opportunities
  • Manage with data through accurate and timely customer, pipeline, and forecast data

About you

  • You are a proven Sales Leader with a track record of driving team to exceed quotas and plans consistently
  • You are a coach and mentor to on-board and grow the skill sets of sales team members
  • You are highly collaborative, working across different functions to break down sales blockers and problem-solve for partners
  • You have a proven track record selling complex solutions in a competitive market
  • You have a reputation as an analytical problem solver, using metrics to measure the performance of your team and identify improvement opportunities
  • You are an excellent communicator that can take complex topics, distill them into easy-to-understand messages, and motivate sales professionals
  • You have a bias to act and have an entrepreneurial mindset

Qualifications 

  • 10+ years of enterprise SaaS sales experience with 3+ years of sales leadership
  • BA or Graduate degree in economics, engineering, or another quantitative field 
  • Successful and consistent quota attainment for team over multiple years
  • Knowledge of e-commerce and performance marketing personas is a plus
  • Domain expertise is a plus (e.g., retail, media and entertainment, telecom)
