Director of Secondary Markets

The Director of Secondary Markets partners works with senior leadership to define and implement capital markets strategies that incorporate product pricing, pipeline management, best execution analysis, interest rate risk management, hedging, and delivery methods. They oversee and manage Mortgage pricing and the execution of the mortgage pipeline to meet margin targets and optimize income from sale of the loans. They will also be responsible for hedging the pipeline and managing investor relationships.

What you will do here:

Manage secondary market activities and initiatives to create and implement pricing and hedging strategies

Manage mortgage pipeline and interest rate risk strategies to minimize market interest rate exposure

Work with capital markets team on internal hedging strategies to optimize pipeline profitability

Define and carry out pricing and delivery strategy to achieve stable, targeted profit margins

Develop and manage secondary market investor trading relationships. Develop awareness for capital markets issues and trends that will impact sale execution. Maximize profitability within established guidelines through best execution analysis and choice of investor delivery methods

Assist with new product development, guideline review, and appropriate corresponding disclosures

Lead and develop the secondary market team.

What you will need:

Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

8+ years experience working in mortgage and secondary markets required.

5+ years progressive leadership experience required.

Demonstrated success optimizing mortgage pipelines required.

Expert in financial modeling and analysis for all funding and hedging strategies required.

Expertise in Hedging the Capital markets directly and through a suite of investors required.

Expertise in pricing constructs for the secondary Market required.

Demonstrated interpersonal skills to successfully communicate both orally and written, and excellent presentation skills required.

Excellent analytical and decision making skills required.

Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office Suite(Outlook, Word, Excel) required.

Expertise using Pricing Sources (Optimal Blue, OpenClose) required.

Experienced user of Mortgage LOS required.
